Hi again Nettak 
Mouse - I only changed my isp about a year ago. It was such a hassle telling everyone my new address and changing it at all the sites I'm registered at I vowed never to change again! If it gets too bad I know I'll have to but next time I'll just use a web based e-mail address for everything so that if I have to change later on it won't be so painful...

What everyone here needs is another phone line. We have a couple of lines and they both have message bank , so if anyone calls and they want to leave a message and if it is someone who knows us well they can ring on the business line at night and will always get us. Unless we are out of course, and everyone can see what an exciting life I lead, I am here nearly every night. LOL

Pharlap is it your server or just a problem with the lines. I know that sometimes the lines are just so busy it can be hard to get in. I actually rang and complained loud and clear to my provider and would you believe I have not had any trouble since. It must have done some good, because until I complained I was getting kicked off all the time.  I just got fed up with having to get back on line all the time, and it was costing me everytime as well.
Anyway I am reasonably happy now, if only I could get them to give me free hook up or cable I would be very happy. We can not get cable connection because they say my driveway is far too long. I asked them to put a booster box on the pole in our front paddock but they said they couldn't do that, god know why.

There's supposed to be some program you can put on your computer that kind of acts like call waiting without cutting your connection to the internet. I think it shows the number of who's ringing or something like that so you can decide to answer or ignore...
Found out some great goss today from a mate I used to work with... things going very badly for my ex boss (can't say I'm sorry  )

I know what you mean Pharlap, I hated that part too. I have 2 emails on Yahoo just for that reason. Plus they have pop access so I can still use my regular email program for them. I can also forward it to another email. So what I do is set up 2 emails at my isp, one for friends and such, one for junk mail (ie. things I sign up for) so I don't have to wade through it to get to my friend's emails. I've lost more than one because of that. So I use my Yahoo addys for the things I sign up and my permanent one for friends. Then I forward the Yahoo ones to the corresponding isp emails. Make sense? I hope so!
For eBay, I have a 3rd email at myrealbox.com (thanks to the EO board for that tip). I can check that one online or it uses smtp so I again can use my regular email program for it.
We had another phone line for awhile Netta, but we had to cut back on expenses. Besides, as much as I surf, I really need DSL. Hubby has it at work and it drives him crazy to surf at home now, LOL.

Nettak - DSL is nice. When I got it here they did not offer a phone on the DSL line but now you can talk on the same line so you don't have to pay for a second voice line. Maybe you can do that there. I posted an address over on the school bus thread if you feel like harrassing someone today.

I was just wondering the same thing Netta. And we seem to have lost Pharlap again too. I wonder if she's gotten my package yet? Probably not since she didn't say anything. I would imagine it will arrive any day!

Your package hasn't arrived yet - I'm thinking it will come next week. I have a sneaking suspision that it's being held at quarantine in Brisbane again

When did you send your parcel Mouse??
I have found that for some unknown reason mail from the US takes a lot longer to reach us then mail going to the US fron Australia.
We might send a parcel and it will arrive at it's destination in a week or so, but a parcel coming from the States often takes 2 -3 times longer to reach us for some reason. They may also be taking even longer because customs is supposed to be going through everything especially food items coming into the country. It is because of the Mad Cow and foot and Mouth overseas at present.
Our government is determined not to let it into the county if they can help it, and I for one am extremely grateful.
So as I was saying it may take longer to arrive at Pharlap's.

Hello Zilvy, glad you could make it. I have been thinking about what to send you, but I haven't gone and to the shops to get it yet. Might leave it until Saturday and then I will have to pack it up straight away so I do not get the nibblies. LOL
Pharlap, I thought we had lost you again. Now where has Mouse gone, have we lost her as well as Bob.

krs called for Naked (Nekkid) Floozies and I started one KatyD and Rawbunzel get over here. I was sooo tired I got really silly.
Finally had to say goodnight. Netta be good to yourself and do not rush to get the stuff...do it at your leisure I am planning on being around a while. Plus I have had no time to get out and about myself..well, not quite true have had the time but some little physical things have kept me home. We seem to have a gastro intestinal virus that keeps cropping up...not a fun thing and certainly limits ones comings if not goings!

Okay Zilvy, I will not rush out and get the stuff, but I will be doing it soon anyway, or if I don't I will end up getting too busy and it will be hard for me to find the time to get out of this office. Once our season starts in full swing, and it is teetering on full scale now, I will have trouble getting out and about myself.
We have had some sort of viral thing going around here just recently as well, it is not nice for anyone.
I hope it is not long before you are feeling on top of the world again.

Gosh I got sidetracked again.
No Mouse I don't have a cushioned loo seat, but I probably have enough cushioning on my rear already. But yeow I don't want to sit on that hard seat all day either. LOL Could you just imagine that, I would have to move the putor in with me, I would miss everyone too much.
God forbid but I think I may have withdrawals when we get real busy and I can not come in everyday, I may have to sneak in through the day for a little while and put the phones on hold. If only I could, but I know in reality that just would not be right or fair.

Am I the 1st in here today? I thought I'd pop in now, cause I won't be here tonight.
DH taking me out for dinner with his bosses and their wives. Just hope we don't have to lend them money like last time.

Just goes to prove that I must be the only bored and lazy housewife here. DH watching t.v., he's off work today, did his back in.
Having him at home thru the day is just not on - it disrupts my whole routine. It's like an invasion of my privacy...
