Glad you like the view, I thought it looked much nicer this way.

Goodnight Bob be kind to your long suffering wife.

Pharlap, the links did not work for me the first time, but when I went back and tried again they worked. Then I could not get into the bitsandbobs one again so I just went and typed it is up the top.

Yep I just tried them again, and it isn't the wacky backy cause it just happened to me, the auctionwatch.com is before bitsandbobs.com, any wonder it would not work.

It is those damn cyber gremlins at work again. LOL

I added the two of your links to the tread Bob started and they work fine in there, it must just be some glitch. It will probably work fine later.

I don't know if anyone is still about, I wasn't able to post for the last little while sorry. I had to go and see where my son had gone. His mates were knocking on the door and I was telling them that he was asleep over in his room (the granny flat), but when I went and looked he wasn't there.

So I went looking for him, just in case he had hurt himself somehow. In the end I came to the conclusion that he had gone out with another mate and just not bothered to say goodbye. I hate kids' sometimes, they can be so inconsiderate at time.

I know that I am early today, but I just wanted to check in. I saw on the news that Melbourne has had some really bad flash floods, so I hope you are high and dry Bob.

Mouse how are things with your dad today, is your mother still alright or has the cold light of day set back in and has she started to worry again?

I will be in and out for a bit yet, as it is almost time to get dinner for the hoards. LOL

nettak, Rain, rain and more rain. Have we had buckets of it today!
The local cockies are doing a happy dance. It;s the first decent wet in a long time. Pity it all had to come down when I was playing golf!
Not long been back from a special family dinner and celebration. It was my inlaws 57th Wedding Anniversary today.

Hello Bob, I am glad the rain has not washed you out. Congratulations to your Inlaws. God 57 years it just about seems impossible..LOL My own anniversary is coming up in about 4 weeks and we will be 22 years married. My wonderful husband, tells anyone who will listen that, you don't get that long for murder. Charming....

I have been watching the logies tonight and they just had a tribute to 4 corners, did you know that show is 40 years old. I can remember when I was little, my dad used to watch that show every sunday, how I hated it. I guess that when I was a kid the current affairs shows just were not important.

I also watched a video tonight, have you seen the Dish, it is an Australian movie about the big satellite dish at Parkes in NSW and how they helped NASA with the pictures of the moon walk. I had seen the ads when it was first made, but did not go and see it, so I got it out today to watch and I really enjoyed it.

nettak, I know what you mean about time creeping up on you. we'll be having our 24th anniversary this year!
I haven't seen The Dish but I've heard plenty of people say they really enjoyed it.

I guess we are all just getting old Bob. LOL The wrinkles are really starting to show.

I did enjoy watching the Dish, it was funny in parts and they really did make it look like the 60s'. Sam Neill played his part extremely well, but mind you I am rather partial to Sam Neill. What a honey. *sigh*

Is it still raining at present? We saw on the news about all the flooding and it looked like the rain was pretty bad. I know it is good for the farmers, but there is a thing as too much water. It is conditions like this that ruins grain and fruit. I feel sorry for the country people as they don't have an easy time of it, that is for sure.

nettak, Just getting the coffee perking!
The rains just easing up, but I think we'll see another day or two of it yet.
The flooding here isn't too bad, just the usual wet spots.
The TV people always like to play it up and get a bit of mileage when it happens, but it's really nothing much.
Reminds me of what Noah said when they were loading the ark, "Darn Woodpeckers"!!!

Sorry I got side tracked reading in another thread.

I like the smell of that coffee, mind you I don't drink a lot of coffee, but I do like the smell of it. LOL

We have had a bit of rain up here, and we were supposed to get a storm today, but it never happened. Not that I wanted it too. I bet it pours tomorrow, when the men are out on the roads doing deliveries.

I really should be out of here very soon as, I have to be up early in the morning.

Hey I got a great bargain yesterday. My sister was out shopping, and she came across some big rolls of bubblewrap, they are 100 mtrs each and she got them for $10 each. That will last me a little while anyway.

nettak, That bubblewrap sounds great. I buy 100 mtr rolls and the price is normally about $45.00.
I'm going to have an early night too.
Catch you tommorow.

Kazanne I wanted to tell you how much I especially enjoyed your poetry..especially the one you are not going to tell who you wrote it for. The lonliness theme is one I can relate to having lived in the middle of nowhere for the better part of my growing up on a farm...Wonderful, that it prompted you to write as opposed to deep depression. Your Uncle's ode to his Bullock touched me, mostly for the appreciation he felt for his partner in work. Thank you for sharing...wouldn't mind seeing some of your art on this thread either.
Netta as always my little chickadee you come through with grace. You definitely round of the square edges of life. Thank you.
In the words of our absent friend "Smooooches"

UBB got me again
