Hi buddy! She sent me an email earlier saying
the police didn't seem too interested in the case.
They had to tell them some info they gathered about
suspects 4 times before the police would even write
it down! Sheesh, do they want the civilians to do
their job too???

My evening is ok, I had one auction close tonight,
with a winner even! But I have a batch closing
tomorrow. This was from last week when I could only
get the one launched that day. On the other
hand, I got nothing from the dr. today & I should
have plus I'm having a flare up for some reason.
It may be all the stress from last week caught up to me.

I tell you what Mouse - I may be joining you in looking for a new isp as well. Have been having a few problems staying connected tonight but it seems a bit more stable now (touch wood)

Well that sounds about typical of the police over here - I've heard from lots of people that have had break ins that the police just don't seem too interested

Sorry to hear you're having a flare up Hopefully all of your auctions ending tomorrow will pick you up a bit Think of all of that lovely money

Hello Mouse & Pharlap, we still do
not have any news of the splitter. The
police came and took some details again
today, but we really do not hold much hope
of ever seeing the machine again.

We priced new machines today and we are
looking at close to $15,000 to replace it,
I rang the insurance company up and asked
them about coverage on it, (I did not tell
them that we had just had one stolen) and
they say that because it is a moveable object
we can not have full cover on it.
I tell you, it is just not fair. We have
decided that the new one will stay here all
the time and the wood will have to be split
from here. We did in fact intend to move our
depot this year, but it looks like we might
be moving our operation a bit sooner than
planned.

Mouse did you find the gif that you
were looking for, was it in the link I sent
you this morning?

Oh this isp thing is just driving me crazy. And sometimes
I wonder if it's the modem too. As soon as we're able,
we're going to get a new one. I already broke the
one that was in this computer. Plus I ran across
something that said it was the worst type of modem
to have. I had no idea there was a difference!
So hubby put his modem in my computer for the time
being. But this one doesn't act right either I think,
and it's the same type as mine was, just different
brand. Oh, and before I forget (because I meant to
tell you this before), you guys say touch wood and
over here we say knock on wood.

So in my isp search tonight I kept trying to figure
out about their emails. I need a minimum of 2 pop3
accounts and a 3rd would be nice for hubby. Most sites
don't tell you what type they are. One says you get
10 emails. I find it hard to believe all 10 are pop3!
Or they don't mention if you can purchase additional ones.
So I had to email all the ones I was interested in
to find out. Why do they all assume anyone reading
their page is a newbie to the web?

Hi Netta! Well, I guess $15,000 is a bit better than
$22,000 (I think that's what you said last night).
No, I didn't find it on that site. And I looked all
over it too. I guess I'm going to have to comb
through our old party rooms, sigh.

About that machine --

Couldn't you take the wheels off or the whole axle and take it away and cut off the trailer hitch and weld two plates on the main part and the cut off part with a bolt pattern so it could be stored off site and render the machine so stationary it could be insured?
Want me to send some drawings?

No Mouse it is worse than we thought
last night. We thought it would only be
(she says only LOL), up to $12,000, but it
is going to cost us more than we thought.

Gravid, it would defeat the purpose
of the thing if we took it off the axel and
wheels ect. We have a huge and I mean huge
splitter, one that we had made for us, and
it is about 2 ton in weight and it is only
on skids not wheels or trailer and to be
honest it is not really a very good machine
because you can not move it around.. I guess
you have to be in this game to know what it
is all about. The one we had stolen was
perfect because you could move it around the
wood pile as the wood was being split.

Our wood pile are not you run of the mill
type, when I talk about a wood pile I mean
it is usually at least 100 ton sitting on the
ground in block form and if you have ever
seen a true 100 ton of wood you would know
that it is a hell of a lot of wood, so you
need to be able to move the splitter around
it or else you are double and triple handling
the product too much.

You could not disable it every night or it
would take too much to put it back together
each morning ready for work, and our Health
and Safety Regulations would not allow you
to do it anyway.

Yeah there was a 2 in it. LOL

I will have a look in the morning to see
if I can find the gif you want, it may be
in another site I use sometimes, but I am
not sure.

Hey wait a miniute, it wasn't the one
Tigerlady gave you a while back
was it, I just only now thought about her
giving you that mouse gif. I can not think
what it was like exactly but she did give
you one, I remember that much at least.

she says no. Speaking of Tigerlady, where the
heck is she?! I worry about her when I don't see her
for a long time.

hope that none of you have a lighter
flickering at the time. It could send the
whole room up in flames. LOL

Mouse I seem to remember you telling
Tigerlady that you used to have this mouse
gif on your old auction site or on your old
computer before it crashed. At least I think
that is where I thought you told her you
used to have it. LOL

Did you just understand what I just said. LOL

Anyway I have been going through the old
posts and I have not found it yet, but I just
know it is in there somewhere, unless she
has wiped it by now. Not to worry we will
find you one somewhere.

I did give you a couple of gifs but this is
the only one I can find.

We seem to have lost Pharlap already. Poor girl is
having as bad of isp problems as I do!

No - I'm still here

I've been checking out dvds on an Australian auction site in readiness for when my new toy arrives (I don't actually have it yet dammit!)

I'll say goodnight for now. Don't panic if you don't hear from me for a while - I won't be around these halls for the next four days...

Behave yourselves while I'm gone and don't do anything I wouldn't do Hmmmmm..... I think that means you pretty much have free reign to do whatever you want Enjoy!!!

Nope, but I do have that one on my gallery page, LOL.
It's a green mouse, about the same size as your
flag waver up there. His eyes get real big and his
feet start pumping and then he disappears in a cloud
of smoke. I called him scared mouse.

My goodness, hubby's alarm just went off and it's
only 5am! He's worked late every night this week
trying to get the severs installed at work. Poor guy
didn't even get home until almost 10 last night.

The gif you are talking about was the one
that Tigerlady gave you, so we will just
have to search for it. LOL

OMG Bob I hope you are reading this,
and I hope you just saw the funniest skit
yet by Fatty and Sterlo on the footy show,
they were playing Steve and Terry Irwin. ROTF
it was the funniest one they have done yet,
and Fatty very nearly stained his pants, when
the croc came towards him. hahaha Gee I
hope you got to see it. Cause it was just
tooooooo funny.

probably missed it knowing me! LOL

has it or at least if she remembers where
she got it from. CYE I will send you the
details.

Thanks nettak - I picture how you use it better now. Other then the shocking color then the only other thought that I have is
to put a tracking radio on it like so many do for their autos. I don't know what service you have down there but we have LoJack and eGuardian and I think it is NetStar?
If a car is stolen they can locate it within 10 meters. If the splitter has it's own battery to start a motor it would be easy other wise you'd need to hide a small 12v rechargable on it.

I would be especially careful when you get the replacement - guard it for 30 days or so. A lot of thieves here will come in and steal something like a TV or a computer and then they wait a week or two and come back knowing you are going to have a brand new replacement from the insurance company. These guys might expect you to be getting another to replace this one.
How is the law in Australia about filling an intruders butt will a load of shot?

gravid, Depending on your local Plod, you might get away with it, even though it's illegal.
If you're really unlucky the EPA will prosecute for the illegal dumping of heavy metals!

Good evening Bob, I am sure that my
husband would like to leave more than a
calling card to there butts. LOL

We could not find the serial no. of the
machine that was stolen but I spoke to the
manufacturer this morning, and they got it
for me in about 5 seconds flat, so I am
hoping that will help the cops a bit more.

These machines are manufactured down your way
Bob, we will have our new one around the 29th
of this month, it has to be manufactured
first, and then sent up here to us.

Are you in tonight Mouse??

Hi Mouse, CYE for party details.

Sorry I haven't been around much, but it is
busy time for us and I hope we get even
busier soon. It has started to get
cool here so the orders are starting to flow.
I hate being so busy, but I love the money.
