Sorry Netta, I went out to play with the dog and
went ahead and packaged up my orders.
I have a new back to work date-June 1st. But I got a
bad email today from a co-worker, they laid off
125 people at my plant just today. I'm beginning
to wonder if I'm going to have a job to go back to!

Well the 1st June isn't too far away, I am
sure that they can not sack you after you
have been on sick leave. Your company would
leave itself open to being sued. I am sure
that they would realise it as well.

Well I am sure you are going to have a
wonderful birthday, and you will not be
getting the sack as a present either.
Bob will send Vinnie over to deal with
them if they give you a hard time. LOL

Oh yeah, gotta love cousin Vinnie!
Well, I haven't gotten my confirmation yet, so I'm
stuck here until then. I probably won't last long,
my eyelids are already drooping. It's always a rough
day when I have to deal with the doctor!

Okay, I know how the doctor can take it out
of you. Confirmation should not take too
long to come through for you.
I am starting to get a bit tired myself, and
tomorrow is Mother's Day over here, I know
your Mother's Day is not far away, but do not
know exactly when it is. Anyway I have
already received three of my presents, one
is gold, it's a bracelet, another is warm, my
daughter got me a new dressing gown for
winter, and the third is a lovely basket
filled with all sorts of things, pretty
smelly stuff from my oldest son. My youngest
will most likely get a flower out of the
garden and wrap it up or something, that is
what he normally does. LOL
All these presents and it isn't even Mother's
Day yet. More to come tomorrow. Oh I love
presents.

How sweet! Ours is not today (it's 5am now),
but the next day (our Sunday). We're cooking steaks
on the grill for Mom and we're planning to take
her out later in the week when the resturaunts
aren't so packed. So she'll get 2 dinners.

So in reality both Australia and America
celebrate Mother's Day on the second sunday
in May. Well when is your father's day??
I am starting to get tired, so if I drop out
you will know I have probably dropped off. LOL

Father's Day is June 17th, 3rd Sunday in June.
I haven't gone back to my email and checked yet. I
got distracted. Easy to do when your on Percosets
and tired, LOL. At least he gave me the good meds
again today. I've been in a lot of pain all week.
It figures too, just as I start selling again.

Our father's day is the first sunday in
September. I really will have to call it a
night very soon, my eyes are not going to
stay open for much longer. LOL

Mouseslayer - If it is not too personal I have forgotten if you said why you are hurting. I hope the climate helps. When it gets cool and rainy here I have a lot harder time of it. Would you believe we have a frost warning tonight?

Hi Gravid, it's my back. I'm not sure if the climate here
gets cold enough to tell if that affects me. It
didn't seem to matter this past winter. But I didn't
venture out much either.
Wow, what an adreneline rush! Mom & I were sitting
in the living room watching t.v. and all of a sudden
heard a loud crash, like right in front of the house.
I said, OMG Mom it's your truck! See she parks it
on the street right in front of the house. So I ran
outside, in my nightgown, hair sticking out every
which way. This young couple hit my mom's truck
so hard, it pushed it 40-50 feet! Not to mention
totalled it. I still can't believe the damage they
caused. Thank goodness hubby wasn't home, so our car
wasn't in the driveway. Otherwise it would have
pushed it into the back end of our car too. Thankfully
no one got hurt! The neighbors got some excitement
out of it too, LOL. But they chipped in later and
helped push Mom's truck back where it was so we didn't
have to call a tow truck, and helped sweep up some
of the debris. We're still in shock. The girl
in the
passenger seat was asleep when it happened,
she looked
like a ghost poor thing.

Hello Mouse gosh I am sorry about
your mother's car, good lord it is a wonder
no one was injured. At least that is a
blessing.
Was your mother's car/truck insured?? I hope
so, at least that would be one less thing to
worry about. Are the kids' that hit the car
insured?? I bet they were shaken up the poor
things, I wonder how it happened, maybe the
driver fell asleep as well.
I am just in the next room so if I don't come
straight back you will know why.

Wow if they were not hurt they are very fortunate. Especially hitting a truck unless she has an unusually light one. Glad she was not in it.
When we lived in Columbus Ohio the neighbor man had a drunk run square into his car parked out front and he was a salesman of all kinds of glue so the trunk and rear seat were all full of sample bottles of glue and he would carry cases of the better sellers so people could buy a case from him to get started.
When the drunk hit it ignited them and the fireball was so bad it not only gutted the car like one of those car bombs you see on TV but the heat cracked all the windows and peeled the paint on the front of his house.
It sure changed his habits because he imaiged himself being in there in traffic and being hit like that. The drunk was like -- Wow did I do that?

Hi Netta! You know, that reminds me I never did get
the confirmation...Anyway, yes it is a wonder no
one got hurt. I'm just glad Mom wasn't in it this
time! She was in an accident I don't even think a year
ago. She hydroplaned and hit a curb, broke the axle.
She's insured, but not for this type of accident.
Their insurance will have to pay. They say they
have it, but the card didn't have that car on it.
The officer said more than likely they just haven't
updated their card yet, as in they just got the
car. The poor guy driving said it was his dream
car. I too was thinking maybe he nodded off.
He said he swerved to avoid a cat in the road.
He said he'd normally not do that, but they just got
a cat themselves. The cop said he didn't believe
him. Maybe the cop thinks the same thing we do, he
fell asleep. We also though maybe he was speeding
considering how far he pushed the truck, but the officer
computed it and came up with 28 mph. The speed limit
on our street is 25. But it's a longish, straight
street between 2 major roads, so paople cut through
all the time, and speed all the time. Drives us & the
neighbors nuts.

The poor kid was probably in shock, I
remember when my son had an accident last
September, he was in shock for days after,
and it wasn't really his fault. Oh he did
hit someone from behind, but it was when we
were having major bush fires and this silly
twit of a girl, stopped dead in the middle of the road without putting any lights or
indicators ect. and the smoke was too thick
for Daniel to see her car until it was too
late to avoid. I was just grateful that
he was not hurt. But I can't help but think
that he may have avoided the whole thing if
she had of had her lights on so that he may
have seen her car in time.
Well I hope it all turns out okay for your
mother and that her car can be fixed in a
very short time.

Ok, is anyone about tonight? I see none of us made
it in last night. I'm not sure how long I'm going
to last tonight, our a/c died again and the heat is
getting to me and making me sleepy.
I'm here - as usual! It's been quite all around but perhaps some of the others might make it later tonight.
It's getting to be quite an effort to have the thread load these days. I'd like to suggest that we lock this
one up tonight and you or one of the other late-nighters can start "WSUTL Pt4" ready for tomorrow.

Said boy is screaming his little lungs out - not a happy camper tonight . On the plus side, he's slept very little
today and is wearing himself out so maybe (please, oh please, oh please!!!) he'll sleep well tonight.....
If someone wants to start Pt 4, I'll close up shop here and you can start tomorrow with a fresh venue.
