Sorry, I don't visit any "filthy" threads on the web. Before you get your panties in anymore of a wad than they already are, why don't you put me on ignore?

I wonder if all who watch/listen to PBS Stations, are considered biased....I am getting worried! Will I soon be ostracized because I watch the very NETWORK which produces such subversive programs as "Sesame Street"? Quick! I better subsribe to a GUN MAGAZINE, real soon!...And let's pick up a few stocks in Bush's Oils Industries..I would not want him to go hungry...Leave that fate for the rest of this ungrateful, undeserving country....
Also, there is just a tadd of confusion here: If a Democrat SUPPORTS it's party, some here call it "biased", yet when these same "some people " support their Republican party, it is implied that that is it Righteous and Patriotic......

It is assumed here that if one is a Republican that we love all others who are Republicns. I was just saying I do not like the man. I admire him for what he has been able to accomplish in life, but that is it.

I don't know if I was proud to offer that poll, actually I didn't think about it much, I definitely didn't dwell on it (maybe I'm not managing my time well.) Yes the poll was a month old and it was being compared to other polls that were as much as 31 years old (I think we are dealing with history). I presented that poll to show some comparisons on the approval rating of several President's first 100 days in office. Maybe I was trying to throw some cold water into the face of some that are posting these rants about the US being on the eve of destruction. In retrospect I don't think anything could calm them from their panic other than a voice from above that would appear as a floating image of Al Gore.
For those that tuned in late this was the poll (cup of cold water) I offered.
April approval ratings in first year in office
Bush now ----------- 62%
Clinton, 1993--------55
Bush, 1989-----------58
Reagan, 1981---------67
Carter, 1977---------63
Nixon, 1969----------61
Sampling error: +/-3% pts
Bush isn't the at the top, and he's not at the bottom, and while I make no guarantees we probably aren't on the brink of destruction. This poll is not a requirement for you to stop being a prophet of doom, but it might explain why some don't take you all that serious.

That's right: he is just a plain, average mentality, average behaviour, average intelligence (and that'
s being generous) sort'a guy...
Frankly, I want a real leader, not someone on a power trip. I prefer to LOVE a real President, or to HATE a real president. Mediocre don't cut it... I cannot even HATE this dude...I just think of him as just another pest bugging the h--l out of me.
******** Gosh Shosh!

Mother Teresa wasn't eligible to run for the Presidency for a couple reasons. Anyone that is willing to play the games of politics is on a 'power trip' to a degree, don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise. Whether the man is a democrat, republican, or pedestrian (my favorite party) they have had to make compromises and deals to reach the office.
No Bush didn't rate as high as Regan during his first months in office, and he didn't rate as low as Clinton. He's in the middle of the pack.

I would just like to point out here that I think that there can be no comparisons between Clinton and his administration and that of Bush. The Republicans saw to that. because they unfairly targeted Clinton with a six year-long Witch Hunt, many Americans supported Clinton while not approving of him, just because Americans have a natural dislike of underhanded dealings. That skews the polls and all results. What you are seeing with Bush in the way of polls, I feel, are much more realistic as to how things actually stand.
So, please, don't point to Clinton's administration and compare it to Bush's -- unless Congress gets Special Prosecutors right now with the same Unlimited Proscecutorial Power and are Above the Law as Ken Starr's team was and focus it at Bush.

I can't believe someone called Ted Turner a republican! He is one of the most liberal people around. He's even getting a divorce since Jane turned Christian. The guy funds pro-choice operations and is an avowed socialist. Just because you don't agree with all his decisions, don't disown him. He is all yours.
I've always wondered where people get some of their crazy ideas, and now it all makes sense. They just make things up to fit whatever point they want to make.
As I said, the fortnight of disinformation is over.
