is it my bad luck or is there a lot of canadian buyers not paying.after talking to a couple of other sellers, they won't even take
bids from there.anyone else have any
nonpayers? or problems?

Never had a problem! (The mail takes a week longer though!-- also since they probably are not writing out a check and mailing it the next day it may take longer ) I insist on Canadian postal money orders (can be cashed at our post office for free) or cash.

Hey topmooch,
I just sold to a Canadian buyer. Alot of confusion, especially with the money exchange, but not really a problem. He's custom ordered now, so I'm waiting for him to prepay. He hasn't left feedback, even tho' I've asked him to. I left feedback for him.
The other situation we discussed, the non-paying bidder I had? I got an excuse today and I suggested she pay with PayPal. She did, so I will ship to her tomorrow. Thought I'd let you know. Thanks for the advice you gave, it helped me wait and be patient.

Why hold it against Canadian buyers because a few are deadbeats? American buyers are deadbeats sometimes as well. Let's examine what you just said, but putting perhaps another example in its place:
topmooch's posts, substituting another "group" of people:
is it my bad luck or is there a lot of blacks not paying.after talking to a couple of other sellers, they won't even take
bids from blacks.anyone else have any
nonpayers? or problems?

the first buyer i had was black, was great, no problem.i just signed up to billpoint maybe that will help.

ya know before i placed the nonpaying buyer
post,i thought maybe i should put in nonpaying, international buyers.but ive had no problem elsewhere.a few deadbeats(we all have them) but 50% thats a little much.
my whole purpose of post, is to see if there was,way to get feedback on what others sellers do with canadian buyers i.e. shipping
payment,to make it easier for both buyer an seller.so i don't have so many nonpaying buyers.as for your(racist) reply i guess you only have white people in the great white north.if it was'nt a racist statement then maybe you should have said african,or german,
or mexican.then my reply would be ive had no problems with these buyers.tm
Your comments come very close to crossing the line. Please keep the CGs in mind when you post and remember to address the issue at hand, not the individual.

Thanks for the tip Michelle. I am still struggling with AW policy that allows someone to attack a country's population, allow the dicussion to turn into a racial argument, but not allow an individual to comment about the original poster

lets get back to orignal post.the purpose of the post was to find a better way to buy or sell items in canada,i'm new to this so i figured i would place a post an see what other have had in there dealings with canadi-
an buyers.did you give any selling tips?
any less expensive ways to ship? maybe a easy
way to pay.none of these! the items i ship are all under 10.00 it must be tough to have to pay 20.00 to ship.then theres customs, item
could sit there for days.so in the responce
i got from stormweaver,i did'nt bring up race he did.and as for attacking canada,i'll
repeat my statement( we all have nonpaying
bidders)as for your reply, well what can i say except, next time you leave post ask mom first.tm

C'mon topmooch ... that's a load of crap and you know it. Anyone who would post a topic with a header like yours is doing it for one reason only ... to stir something up.
Well, you've done it pal. I am getting a little fed up with people like you who take shots at anyone who is not a US citizen.
I respectfully suggest that prior to posting anything else here, you learn how to spell, how to put a thought together, and how to type.
And as for Moms ... your's is going to hear about this latest activity of yours. She's comin' with the wooden spoon again ...
(Michelle, I'm sorry, but this kind of thread should never be allowed, especially under the "Buyer Beware" banner. Please feel free to edit my words to fit the AW guidelines. Thanks)
