Hi Paypaldamon,

Ebay email me and said they will directly deposit the insurance money to my bank account and they also told me I can use the email that indicating judgment in my favor to claim the Paypal insurance.
Without the paper letter from ebay, can I use the email from ebay and my bank account record to claim the Paypal insurance? Please also give me the fax number so that I can fax the email/bank record to Paypal.

Thanks,
Maple125

Hi maple125,

You don't qualify for the supplemental insurance because you are getting your money back from the credit card company (you filed a chargeback for the transaction).

Ebay would not have paid Maple if he was getting money from a chargeback. You have to file a chargeback first and Ebay will only pay if the credit card company refuses to do the chargeback and the bidder provides proof of this. They will, however, pay if the amount of the chargeback is less than the total amount of the payment (i.e. bidder uses Paypal funds for $100 and credit card for $200 of a $300 purchase, they would pay on $100).

Hi paypaldamon,

I paid $550.63US by my credit card and $349.37US from my Paypal account balance for a total of $900US. I only get back $550.63US from charge-back. That's why I am pretty sure I qualify for the Paypal insurance. I asked you the fax number because Paypal Complaint Resolution DepartmentI email me the number before but I lost all the emails after I formatted the hard drive. Luckily, I posted that email to AuctionWatch forum before:

http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=10&thread=3746

Is the fax number 1-402-537-5760 correct? Also, can I use my email from ebay and bank record to claim the Paypal insurance?

Thanks,
Maple125
