Just for a change, here is my experience with paypal.
I've been a victim of fraud around 5 times in the last 9 months. All 5 times, the buyer protection program kicked in (don't know if i'm just lucky, because lots of people complain about sellers just taking the $$$ out of their accounts and running).
As a seller... about 2 months ago, a buyer filed a $4.50 chargeback with me, my email server was being upgraded, so I never recieved the buyer complaint form to fill out to give proof of shipment.... then boom a month later my account was restricted... with $1355US in it. I was all paranoid that paypal would "steal my $$$" but 4 days after I did everything to get my account back to good standing I was reinstated, my $$$ still there....
I am very happy with paypals' service, although after reading all the complaints I probably won't keep anymore than $100 in my account, I will still be using paypals service a great deal in the months to come.
