This is my first burn on eBay. I bought a bunch of stuff totaling $40, paid by PayPal, still haven't received the items. I went to eBay and asked for info on the seller, and they gave me a phone number. Well, guess what, the man who answered said he gets phone calls all the time, but he has nothing to do with eBay. I've now written to eBay to inform them they've got the wrong number, and I'm waiting to see what happens. Buyer beware: the sellers name is butterflycollectables.

You're right on target there, outoftheblue. I saw she had some fishy feedbacks, but after over 6,000 transactions, I believe that eBay is, as they say, founded on trust. I'll be a little leery next time

374 positive v. 15 negative. A whopping 4% complaint rate.
And at least a few of those appearing to be from #*!@ bidders, a few complaints due to problems with the mail, and one where she flat-out admitted it was her fault / mailed to the wrong address. Drops it down to about 2%.
Yeah. These are the people I'm really, really suspicious about. Never mind those people with -1 ratings and sunglasses next to their names with a dozen auctions up at the same time advertizing X-Boxes. It's those bastards with 300+ ratings I'm worried about!
Especially that sunna'#*!@ with the 3000+ who ended up not delivering my VGA switchbox. I should have known it was all just a front... selling on E-bay for years... working up all those poor buyers JUST to he could scam me out of $15!
