I don't know what else I can do to get my address confirmed. I've gone thru the steps, paid 1.95 thru my credit card, thought that took care of it, it didn't. They say I can get it confirmed by adding a credit card to my account,(It is already on it, that's what they charged the 1.95 to). My resident address is Methodist Lane but there is no mail service to it so we (a total of 2 homes) HAVE to use a PO Box, which the PO does not charge us for because there is no delivery on our lane. On my latest reply from Paypal, they informed me I would need to use the alternative method to confirm my address. UM Duhhhhhh!!!!!! It says you can't use a PO Box to use this method. I hate seeing unconfirmed when I use Paypal to pay for something and they are frustrating me to no end to try to fix it.

Why not ask for your mail to be held at the Post Office for a week and use your home address for the hold. You should get confirmation by then.

My confirmed paypal address is a P.O. Box. You should be able to confirm that if your credit cards go to that address.

I don't know why there even exist a problem because I have gone thru the proper steps. It's great for you that you didn't have a problem. I just know that I DO receive my credit card mail at my PO Box, I AM having a problem which I can't understand why and I can't get Paypal to confirm it.

If anyone wonders about my integrity, look at my feedback on eBay. I shouldn't have this problem.

Best to email [email protected] and see if he can help you out.

You are right, that you should nothave to put up with such nonsense.

After all, paypal has lot's of P.O. box address's.

Most of north america is using P.O.boxes because there is not mail delivery to every home.

what constitutes a good post office box address??
when you apply for a mail box either at commerical outlets like mail box etc or USPS,they ask to see photo ids and they ask to see id which shows your physical address.
if your physical address does not exist in the usps system,is the mail box address still valid??

Paypal actually called me on the phone about this. She told me the reason I could not get confirmed is because they had to put my credit card thru manually. She suggested I use the alternative method to which I had to remind her that it could not use a PO Box #. She said the only way I could get confirmed then is to put in a different credit card. I shouldn't have to apply for another credit card for the sole reason of confirming my address. She told me either that or just accept that I don't have a confirmed address. Now I am debating whether I'll stay with Paypal or not. That's unreasonable.

Why not use your work address?

a confirmed adress is the billing addr of her credit card.
it is pretty easy to get another credit card,so why not just get one.
or if your seller does not want to ship to unconfirmed addr, send them check or money order.
how do ups and fed exp deliver packages to your house if it is not on their keymap??

I work at home and a couple days a week at Ames, which will end next month when they close. Its not easy to get a different credit card when your on the low end of the spectrum. As far as Paypal goes, I guess I just plain don't care anymore, but thanks for all the input.

eBay payments don't list unconfirmed or not...it is the best way to pay! I like to have my items shipped to my home address, but because my card is billed to my husbands business office, it lists my home address as unconfirmed. I always explain this to the sellers, if they don't want to ship, fine! They can ship to my husbands office. Let they ship to you PO box. Or better yet Use the eBay payments. Since eBay just purchased PayPal maybe things will get better!
