We spent yesterday working on auctions to take advantage of the special listing fees by Ebay. We even started them earlier than usual because we know Vendio can get bogged down. However, at midnight eastern time, none had gone on. Since I assume if they go on after midnight, we lose the special listing fee, we cancelled all our auctions. On special listing days, we list more expensive items and we wait for these days just for that reason. We can't list through Ebay.ca for the special listing days through Vendio either. So, we have a whole day with no auctions on Ebay and we have lost the opportunity for the special listing fees.
Since these special days happen every month, seems to me something should be done about it. Also, it seems to me that by now, Canadians should be able to list through Ebay.ca through Vendio to take advantage of any of the special listing days there.
We are very disappointed with how things turned out yesterday.

We understand that we let you down, and we are currently reviewing every element of the site infrastructure and transaction logs to determine the exact cause of the site slowness and any launch latency. We are also performing several optimizations starting immediately that should have a positive effect in the near term. We have performed very well in recent listing promotions, so this issue has us surprised, obviously embarrassed, and certainly doubling our efforts to prevent any future occurence to regain the stellar performance you've come to expect.
Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced, and please rest assured that eradicating this type of performance issue is a top priority for us.
