Twice in the past ten days, buyers have complained to me that, despite repeated tries, they cannot pay me with PayPal. I've checked and both auctions happen to be re-lists. The buyers say that either Vendio or PayPal does not recognize the data (or words to that effect). Have been paid for other auctions via PayPal in the time frame. Anybody else having like problem?

This is SHOPCHICLY, again. Went back to the e-mail from buyer. She says "Vendio says the information is not in their database".
Help, please.

Hello Shopchicly,

If you can provide us with some example auctions inside your account we will be happy to take a look.

I also am having customers reporting an inability to get into Paypal through Vendio to make payment.

For example: "Your customised checkout system with Vendio Services Inc is temporarily unavailable. It said in “ learn more “ if not able to pay to contact seller.I have paid with Paypal on other accounts." and " Hi Ive been trying pay my account with Pay Pal,but the system is down on your checkout page.Pay Pal is working with other payments with other sellers,I'll keep trying."

Item #290115416603
and combined order #947309580 are currently involved. The customer with the combined order has been relating this saga for over a week now.

These are both international sales, but not all international bidders are having the problem.

I seem to remember quite a few of us having this problem sometime earlier this year.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Susan

To Ed.... Auctions involved were
#160155267950 and #160161109117.
Buyers were very irritated (frustration).
Payment has been made now but by other method of access.

Hello,

Shopchicly, I took a look at both of these listings, and neither appears to have been relisted through Vendio (but rather through eBay directly). Unfortunately, the Vendio checkout will only work correctly for listings that are listed (and relisted) through Vendio.

Susan, since these two customers have now made the PayPal payment, it is not possible for me to tell what caused the problem. Do you have a current example (where payment has not yet been made) so that I can take a look?

Regards,
Nathan

No, but if I edit the post sale details and delete the payments, would that help?

It might return them to their original "condition" since I had to send both customers a Paypal money request (at their request) and I entered payment on both of these manually.

Hello,

Sure, even you could test it at that point.
Once you uncheck steps 2 and 3, click the 'Go To Buyer Checkout' link at the top of the checklist to see exactly what the buyer saw.

This should give a better idea if they were running into the described error here or not.

Christopher

I unchecked the payment and went to the link for the checkout through my email and saw " Transaction Cancelled

This function is temporarily unavailable. Please try your payment again later by returning to eBay and clicking the My eBay button."
But this means nothing to me, other than as a verification of what the customer told me.

This was on the multiple order.
My link to the other tranaction was already deleted, but I unchecked it, as I thought you wanted to see it.

I did not uncheck box number 2, as both customers had already filled out the checkout when the errors came up for paying through Paypal. As mentioned, the customer claims this message was only coming up when trying to pay through Vendio's checkout, but not when paying for other orders with other sellers' (or eBay's) checkout.

The two auctions were listed through Vendio. I ONLY list through Vendio, BUT
I believe I did click on the RELIST on the auction page and so, relisted through E-bay. HOW COULD I HAVE KNOWN THIS WOULD NOT WORK CORRECTLY?????? I think a reasonable assumption could be made by sellers that relists would work OK done either way, OR...WE WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD! I must be missing something. I made a bad assumption that e-bay and Vendio were integrated to the extent that a relist would work either way. Now I know better. Thanks for paying attention to my Post. I'm learning all he time.

Susan,

That error generally suggests a problem with PayPal. I checked the PayPal website and it does appear they were having issues at the time these listings closed. At this point, my best guess is that is what caused this problem. Are you having this problem with current listings? Or so far with only those two listings?

Nathan

Won't really know until there is a sale to another non-U.S. buyer.

Hello badgeman,

I checked this listing and PayPal was giving an error that the phone number was not in the correct format. I removed the phone number from your buyer's checkout, and PayPal is no longer giving the error. Please have your buyer try to pay through PayPal again, and if she continues to have trouble, let us know in exactly what way (if she is still getting an error, what is the error message?).

Regards,
Nathan

Hello all.........Well, the problem I described has resulted in a NEG to me.
Unreasonable buyer for sure, but if the system had worked as I thought it did, it would not have happened. I listed through Vendio - did not sell - relisted from the E-bay page assuming that Vendio and E-bay were integrated to the extent that it would go smoothly, BUT my buyer was unable to pay with PayPal link. As you can see from the thread, the explanation is that if you Re-list thru E-bay, after originally listing thru Vendio, the PayPal link will not work.
Well, she got very frustrated trying to pay and by the time I got an explanation and gave it to her, she was livid. I invited her to pay me with money order or personal check, - options which are stated on my auction page. I even invited her to deduct the cost of the money order from her payment to me. She refused to pay me any way other than PayPal and left me a really nasty NEG
saying I did not communicate or "work with" her. Absolutely NOT TRUE. I'll move on, but is irritating when I work so hard to please buyers and some detail I knew nothing about turns up to cause a NEG. The neg appeared immediately after I filed for my fees. Again, I ask HOW COULD I HAVE KNOWN THAT I COULD NOT RE-LIST FROM THE E-BAY PAGE?
Rats!!!

This is an e-mail from my customer in UK:

As I mentioned previously, your server Vendio cannot correctly complete the transaction. It has my
correct shipping address on one form, then will not permit me to enter another country than US on
sign out sheet. Will you Please send me a straightforward Paypal invoice, or an email address where
I can send you a Paypal payment to solve this. I just tried this again and it does not work.
Thank
you, Sarah

Hello badgeman,

Ask the buyer to double check their PayPal account settings to be sure they already have this address on file in their account.

As a US based buyer/seller, if I try to add an additional address to my own PayPal account manually (not in the middle of a checkout process) - they will NOT allow me to enter any address outside of the US.

Chances are the buyer in question may be using a similar account, where the primary address is already based in the US and PayPal simply won't allow them to list a different address during the checkout process.

Christopher

Hi

Just had my first non-US buyer since I last posted to this thread and the non-access
message is again showing up. This has been happening for a few months now every time I have an international buyer go to use Paypal through the Vendio checkout. Message reads: "This function is temporarily unavailable. Please try your payment again later by returning to eBay and clicking the My eBay button."

It does not happen with US buyers.

Please look into this.

It is really getting old having to generate a Paypal invoice AND address the problem to the buyer every time there is a non-US bidder.

Thanks,
Susan

Hello Susan,

Is this for your listing "290036153891"? I am showing that this buyer did in fact pay through PayPal, but only made a partial payment. That error can result in this situation. The listing has not been marked as paid in Vendio post-sale, as the complete payment has not been made. But the buyer cannot go back through checkout to complete the payment as a partial payment has already been made. In this case the buyer would need to pay the balance directly through PayPal.

Nathan

The buyer made two partial payments because he forgot to add shipping to the first payemnt. The first payment was in fact made directly through Paypal because HE COULD NOT ACCESS PAYPAL THROUGH VENDIO'S Checkout.

Any word on this??!!

My international customers are still getting the"Transaction Cancelled" "This function is temporarily unavailable. Please try your payment again later by returning to eBay and clicking the My eBay button."

message when hitting the Pay now with Paypal button on the Vendio checkout. And "Later" never happens.

As mentioned before, this is getting really old...And cumbersome...having to deal with manual Paypal invoices AND addressing the problem to international buyers every time they tell me that "your Vendio checkout is broken". Which seems to be Every Time that I have an International buyer in the last few months.

Most recently customer for ORDER 958239984 checked out then, since the checkout won't work to Paypal, went in and paid separately for 3 of 4 items, then had to email me for a balance due because of combined shipping.

This is really wasting a lot of time for both me and my customers...not to mention that it is making my customers annoyed!

Please fix this.

Thanks,
Susan

I do hope that it is soon!

I spent a good part of the morning working around two more sales from customers from Australia...
both of these were multiple sales of appreciable amounts...

This is very awkward and frustrating!

I've received the following email from the buyer for auction 200173479022;
"I've tried since Sat. night to pay you, but I'm still having problems with the paypal 'seller denied'.My address is confirmed and I'm verified. I am new to this, but I've made 5 other auction payments since this one, with no problems. What do you think I should do?"<p>She reported the problem right after the auction closed Sat night and I asked her to wait a while and try again, assuming that it was a PayPal problem. Evidently it is not a PayPal problem. No one else has reported having trouble paying. Please try to pinpoint the problem so I'll know how to reply the next time it happens. I haven't made any changes to the checkout; this was not a relist. I'll wait a while for your reply before I send her a PayPal invoice to pay by.<p>Thanks.
