The new selling page format is now available on ebay. Will there be any trouble with AW using this - will the picture show up on the top of the page? Am just looking for some info on this.

Well, I answered one of my questions - no the picture does not show up on the top of the listing. What do we need to do to get it to show up? Is this something you will integrate into the system? Appears the pic is hosted by ipex.
The listing without the pic looks bare - the pic needs to be there.
In case someone wants to see a listing - go to your active auctions and click on the link on the top right corner and it will conver the auction to the new format.
Actually, the new layout will not be released until "sometime this summer" - the little link in the upper right is just to promote the new look for now.

Yes, it won't be released until this summer - but my question is
To have the pic show up at the top of the listing - ipix has to be used. If you go to one of my listings and look at it - the pic is not there. Is AW going to implement something so that our pics show up (by this summer)?

Well, I read it on the powerseller discussion board on ebay. And, if you go to ebay and browse listings - you will see those listings that use ipix have the pic on the top and those of us who do not use ipix do not have the image on the top. Maybe it is something that needs to be asked directly to ebay now, before the change actually rolls out?

OK - here is how a pic gets put up on the top - if you don't use ipix.
For sellers who would like to have a photo appear at the top of the page, you will be able to use the Revise Your Item form to upload a photo to the first iPIX location. There will be no charge for this.
Hopefully, Vendio is going to be proactive and appeal to ebay on this - or put something in the create listing page to accomodate this ipix requirement. If we have to go in and revise every auction - what is the point - might as well list it directly at ebay. Revising 100 auctions a week is in no way an option.

And just thought I would add - I emailed ebay support and specifically asked about this and the following is their reply:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
A new photo will appear at the top of the page only if the seller
uploads a photo to the first (free) iPIX photo. So iPIX would need to
be used for this feature.
If you have any further questions or suggestions for this new look you
may contact our support team

I have had the very same question. This is a direct copy from ebays general announcements board.

***Item Page Preview - Update***
This summer, eBay will introduce a new Item Page. Based on member input, we've reorganized this page to make it easier to use. Several new features have been added to make the bidding and buying process easier to understand.
Beginning this week, you will be able to see how your item will appear with the new look and feel of the page to help you get ready for the change. To try it, click on the "See this item in eBay's new look for this page" link in the top right-hand corner of a current Item Page.
Note: This is a working preview, so if you place a bid on an item from this page, you will still be responsible for completing the transaction just as if you bid from the current page.
Some of the new features include:
-- A new photo will appear at the top of the page if the seller uploads a photo to the first (free) iPIX photo."
I am not sure how much confidence I have in Vendio when this was released on the 21st and Vendio was not aware of it yet on the 22nd.
I am so disgusted with Ebay. I like the picture hosting at Vendio much better. I think what the customers want to know is will you be able to absorb this awful disruption? And I also do not want to have to revise each and every auction. Nor be at a disadvantage by not having a picture.

Hello mildreds,
While the customer service staff might not have been aware of all of the details involved with the new eBay form, our developers have known about this and are working on ways to incorporate this change.
