First - the new templates are great - I really like them.
I am wondering about the custom listing information that we can add to the bottom of each listing. That saves me alot of time time and really orgainizes the information. But, I would like to add different information there for different items. For example, a furniture item would have different information then a jewelry item. Can I have different information in there, saved for each template - or does it all have to be the same. If it all has to be the same that causes me a real problem.
For example - one of my lines tells about how the item is shipped, length of delivery, etc. Well furniture goes UPS and jewelry goes USPS and the delivery time is different, etc.

One more question - if the custom lising info has the be the same for each listing. Is it possible to "turn it off" for some listings? I would just list the info as I did before, but I want to just the new template. Hope this all makes sense.

Hello corksmom,
It is really great to hear that you like the new templates. The custom setting are global, however, you can turn them on and off. You have 5 different sections which you can customize. They are located under My Account -> Custom Listing Text. Next to each there is a box you can check which says show in listing. So ideally you could list all your furniture items with the Custom Listing Text which apply to furniture, launch those and then you could do your jewelry items with the Custom Listing Text which apply to jewelry and then launch those.

OK - That makes sense. A bit extra work - but worth it. I will try that and see how it works - if I have anymore questions I will let you know, or if I find an easier work around.

I'd like to add my input to this thread, too. We should be able to link unique Custom Listing Text to different templates. This would support sellers with flexible needs.
Boo Hiss on having to be on a Power Plan or Premium Plan for uploading our own background images, etc.
One more thing, you need to make sure that your furniture items are LAUNCHED (and finished) before going in and changing the settings for Jewelry -- the system picks up the Custom Listing Text at launch time, not "schedule" time.
