Please don't make me wait a week this time!
The only thing I changed on this auction relist was to a BIN.
That should not affect the shipping error message I keep getting.
PLEASE FIND OUT WHY!

Copy/paste:
Error 440: Failed in shipping and handling.
You must enter a value for U.S. shipping and handling since you have indicated that you are entering shipping costs.

Hello,

Which item are you trying to relist, that produces the error? What are you putting as your BIN price? With your permission I'd like to try to relist so that I can see this error you are getting. We have tested relists with a BIN price but have not gotten this error.

Regards,

Sonya

Please do not launch it.
I already did so from the Ebay site!

Hi Liveinjeans,

We won't launch it. Please leave it there though, so we can figure out where this error is coming from.

Sonya

Hello,

We believe this is an API error, and at this point we are not sure what is causing the error. We have logged a bug and are looking into this now. If you are unable to relist through our service, please relist on eBay directly then import the listing once it is active. Thank you for your patience. Please limit further inquiries to this thread rather than opening a new one so that we can keep track of the problem.

Best regards,

Diana

I start new threads because the old ones get ignored after 12 hours.
You'd do the same thing if you were paying to use this service.
At least an update would be nice.
Not to mention, I have written CS about this 2 times.
NOTHING.
Hopefully, it's fixed by tomorrow.
Thanks again for letting me know, finally.

Hello liveinjeans,

We are aware of this problem, it is logged as a bug and we are working on it now. Note that it is very likely an API error, and it may be something that we are not able to fix immediately. I do not want you to be under the impression that this will be fixed by tomorrow as it may take some time to isolate the issue.

In the meantime relisting on eBay and importing the listings should allow you to work around it.

Diana

Ok, keep me posted please!
I won't be able to change templates using Ebay....hopefully this won't take much longer since they were supposed to investigate - starting a week ago.
Thank you.

STILL WAITING, as before.
These pending auctions have been sitting waiting for those engineers to check for 4 days now.
We know what the problem is but how long does it take to fix it?
If it cannot be fixed, at least let me know.

This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks.

You ask me not to keep starting post about this, then FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON!
I would REALLY appreciate some follow-up!

Hello,

One quick question. Item 2859627306 was the one you wanted to relist from here, but got the error message about '440' and the shipping and handling.

It looks like you did end up relisting this item via eBay directly rather than from here, since it was failing from here, and eBay shows that once you relisted it (2861468043) - you then made changes to the Buy It Now price.

Were you somehow unable to add a buy it now price when you relisted via eBay directly as well, and then had to revise it once active?

Christopher

Hi and thanks for responding!
I did not have any problems relisting on Ebay, whether changing the BIN price or not.
Only using VENDIO do I encounter the problem.
Is that what you needed to know?

Hello,

No, what I was wondering was with this item in question, you ended up going to eBay to relist it instead, then tracked it into your account here at Vendio.

I would assume you went to eBay to relist so that you could do so with your changes in place, where you added the BIN price to this item.

When you view the new item that was relisted from eBay directly, they show the BIN as being revised since the item went active. I was curious if you added the BIN after you relisted directly from eBay, or if you added the BIN price before you relisted from eBay directly and just happened to need to revise it afterward.

Christopher

I revised the auction since I ask for immediate Paypal payment.
VENDIO is not set up to create that feature.
Using the BIN price was not an issue and not a problem. I changed the BID price only as I was relisting. I did not have to revise it to do so.
I encountered the problem on VENDIO with those 2 auctions sitting in the pending folder for review.
It did not matter what I changed on those auctions, I still encountered the shipping error message.
I also attempted to change the templates, which I couldn't do on Ebay.
That is why this issue needs resolution...it's been 3 weeks since this started happening.

I Now Have 5 auctions that won't relist.
It has been 4 more days since I have received any information.
This has never happened before until recently.
No one has called and no one has writtin me to give me any further insight.
Not all auctions have this problem.
It has to be a VENDIO issue.
PLEASE CONTACT ME.

Hello liveinjeans,

Can you tell us if the listings that are erroring on launch all contain this link:

<a href="http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/vintage*fashion*guild/#fright"><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/cotmyey/vff.jpg"><P></P></a>

At this point it looks like the error may be related to something in your listing descriptions or default text. This error is definitely not caused by a global condition as the error rate is extremely low. We will continue to work with you to isolate the problem, it would be easier for us to do so if you would post the item numbers of the affected listings in this thread.

Thanks,

Diana

Diana,
Some of the listings contained the link that you wrote...fashionguild.
Those are special links that we put in vintage auctions each month.

The chenille sweater listed was not one of those however.
Keep Trying!
Thanks!

Hi again,

Would you mind posting the item numbers of the affected listings? It's difficult for us to examine the potential causes if we don't have a list of the item numbers.

Thanks for your assistance,

Diana

It is now 5 days later and nothing!
I now have about 6 in the pending file.
All I do is change the price to a BIN OR change the template.
I WANT SOME ANSWERS!
I have heard the engineers are checking into this for too long.
It's BEEN 3 WEEKS!
