I have checked the box, "allow buyer to edit or enter total payment amount in checkout" but I am not seeing when, where, or how they are to do that.
I have gone to several buyers check-outs (yes, I first removed checkmark from #2) and I am unable to change, add, subtract anything. Does this feature work? If so, when, where, how?
Just for the heck of it, let's throw this out there too. I have tested the checkout as the buyer would, and if I leave any information blank I can not continue with checkout (move to the next screen). However, I have seen on a few of my customers check-out where there was no payment method selected and stated shipping amounts were not selected, and yet they were able to get to a confirmed order screen ? Any ideas?

Hi Fourjbss,
The checkbox "allow buyer to edit or enter total payment amount in checkout" is used by eBay checkout, and it is seen by the buyer once the listing ended at eBay, on the item page.
Vendio checkout does not need this checkbox, as all payment and shipping information is embedded in the listing at creation time.

This is very misleading and totally confusing!!!! I also thought by checking this it would allow the buyer to make the change in the Vendio checkout. So are we supposed to tell our buyers that if they need to change an amount, not to use Vendio checkout, but use the eBay checkout? Or do we not 'imbed' our shipping costs when we list? Which then causes another problem...can't use auto WBN because it won't have a shipping amount.

Hello gacage,
That is correct, this test is for the eBay specific checkout only. The Vendio checkout does not give the option to edit the totals manually. Any changes would need to be made first by the seller before the buyer goes back through the checkout process.
If you are simply entering the shipping cost into the test of the description, that is fine, just be sure to duplicate that amount into one of the fields we provide for the Vendio checkout.
