This is my third try to get someone to change the spelling of eBay in the spellchecker. Each time I leave a message I get "What a good idea. We will forward it" and nothing changes. The spell checker consistently spits out eBay as an incorrect spelling. Since you are in partnership with eBay, don't you think it would be a good idea to know how to spell it. The suggestions for correct spelling are really weird - "eba, Eba, Bay, bay, Beau, beau, Ebba". PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS!
Jane, Janye, Jain, Jayne, Jaine, Haime, Haim, etc., ad infinitum.

Which spell checker? The spell checker in SMPro can have words added to it. All you need to do is add the word to your speller.

Nope, I just use regular sales manager. I have tried the "Add" feature and nothing happens.
You really need to fix this.

Hi there,

We are working on a fix for this problem, and I am sorry for any delay in the process. In the meantime, you should be able to add words by using the "Manage Personal Dictionary" link located on the error page pop-up (under the Suggestions box.)

Let us know if you have any trouble when using this link.

Thanks,

Diana

Dear jtomp,

We have implemented a fix for the problem you've outlined, which is related to having a capital letter mid-word. To take advantage of the fix, the next time your spell-checker window pops up, click the "Manage Personal Dictionary" link. You will see a check-box titled "Use case-insensitive spelling". Check this box, and close the window. The next time you use the spell-checker the add word function should work even on a word with a unexpected capital.

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana,
I followed the instructions to the letter, over and over again and eBay is still popping up as incorrect. I try to add the correct spelling to the personal dictionary and it lists it as ebay. This is a minor matter but really frustrating.

Hi Jane,

You will have to delete all entries in your dictionary for eBay, and then re-enter it with the case insensitive box checked. This should get it to take in your dictionary. Let me know if you continue to have trouble with it.

Regards,

Sonya
