All of a sudden, within the last hour or so, I cannot list or relist. I am sure the problem is somehow related to the Vendio rollout of PayPal Credit options, but as my auctions are all low price it doesn't/shouldn't apply to me.

I get the same messages on listing a new item or relisting an old one:

Error 17205: PayPal payment required.
PalPal payment is required to offer finance options.

I have PayPal as a payment choice but don't offer finance options so this is crazing. I've got auctions backing up by the minute, so if someone can help I'd appreciate it.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay in responding. This does appear to be related to the support for PayPal financing.

We are checking into the cause currently and will post back when we have more information available.

There is however a workaround you can use to get your items up and running right now.

Go to the My Account tab, click on the Global Preferences link found within, then change your PayPal preferences to say:

"Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo in my listing"

instead of:

"Include only the PayPal logo in my listing"

When finished, click to save your preferences and you should be able to simply resubmit anything from pending without error.

Regards,
Christopher

Hello,

The ability to submit with PayPal Buyer Credit should be fixed shortly -- we'll let you know when it is available. We suspended Buyer Credit last night so you should not have experienced any further launching issues (announcement posted). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Garth333,

The error you are receiving indicates that eBay has either changed the category number (thus invalidating the original category number), has added sub-categories to it (thus it is no longer a "leaf" category), or has removed the category altogether.

To eliminate the error, please edit your listing, scroll to the category section, and click the "Edit Categories" button to reselect your category. Be sure to choose the category from the menu selector, and save your changes after reselecting your category.

After taking the above steps, you should have no further trouble listing your item.

Regards,

Sonya
