Since all of my auctions vary in shipping charges, I cannot put a shipping amount in the eBay Shipping and Payment Details section on the site specifics page...I currently have the radio button selected for "I am NOT specifying eBay Shipping and Payment Details". But by choosing this, the insurance portion stays at "not offered" ("not offered" shows up in all of my PayPal payments), when actually I have "optional" selected because I do offer insurance. How do I get it to say "optional" without selecting the radio button "I AM specifying eBay Shipping and Payment Details.(Required when using PayPal Immediate Payments)? If I choose this latter option, I have to put in a shipping amount and I don't want to do that. Help!
You will need to consult eBay and/or PayPal about this issue, as I believe they default to that option when you do not have eBay Checkout enabled. I would assume there is an option in PayPal that allows you to check off that you offer insurance, even if you have eBay's checkout turned off. We recommend you put text in your auctions that state you accept insurance and will notify the buyer after the auction closes.
