I would like to get an idea how many users like the new launch scheduling system. Please let Me & Vendio know what you think. As for me I think it is awfull!!

Okay, you asked... I think that it works fine. I can now set listing without having to look for a calender to figure out when paydays line up with the listings.
Just my opinion.

I hate it!
It takes longer to launch, more mouse clicks.

I like it! You can type in the date & time - much faster than a drop-down!

There wasn't anything wrong with the way that they had it. Not sure why it needed to change, it takes significantly longer.

I like it. Now I can schedule my auctions at 5-minute intervals instead of 15. No more "clumps" of auctions ending at the same time.

And it doesn't take any longer to do.

Thanks, Vendio!

After using it some, I also like it, with one BIG EXCEPTION!!! As usual, when Vendio does any upgrades, it will NOT work with older sytems or webtv units. Are there plans for debugging the system so everyone can use it? I'm guessing that it is full of javascript. eBay has been like this for months now, but they seem to finally have fixed most of their problems. Also,a little warning would e nice as to when something like this is coming. It really made for a rough night last night to get used to stuff. IMHO, this should have been included in the test site a couple of weeks ago, so we could have had time to adjust, instead of just been force fed! Just my opinion, JJ(oldshuntr)

I hate it. I hit schedule thinking this would be the icon to hit to get the days and times and it started launching my auction.
That does not make any sense, that icon needs to be changed.

Hi folks..

I'm not intervening here at all.. we appreciate this poll. However, we do need to remember one major thing when considering this upgrade. Vendio went from being able to schedule 3 weeks in advance to 10 years. The old drop down menu only contained 3 weeks worth of scheduling options. With the new format, you can schedule to your heart's content.

We are interested in hearing suggestions on how to improve the layout of a ten year scheduling option. But the old drop down menu isn't feasible with 10 years scheduling capability and minute by minute staggering.

Thanks for all the comments and attention to the new layout. We really appreciate it.

Bob-

Look, we get it that you guys are really proud of the new ability to schedule auctions 10 years out. We understand that you couldn't accomodate 10 years on pull-downs.

But I can't help but wonder - did more sellers REALLY ask for 10-year scheduling than have asked for ebay's shipping calculator? really????

I like it! Mainly because once you type in a scheduling time ... it remembers that time for all the subsequent listings you build so you don't have to input it over and over and over and over. Also, love the lack of drop down menu. One less drop down menu is a good thing.

Good innovation. Thanks!

One questions for any of the crack Vendio Customer Service staff looking at this board ... when you originally posted the "what's different about..." your redesigned site, you noted that some things cannot be access by Mozilla Firefox. Is this still the case? You guys are the ones who turned me onto Firefox when I was having so many problems with the eBay category menus about 6 weeks ago. Now I never want to go back to IE. Firefox is SOOOO much better ... virtually crashproof. Any word on Firefox interface???

Like it very much for the same reason as Lennonhall. Don't have to reschedule each auction with date and time. Just keep clicking schedule after each listing and it remains the same, until you change it to the next time set you prefer. Good job Vendio. Still wish Vendio would fix that first picture at the top of the listing page so that it doesn't show up short and fat for about 15 seconds. I believe it could be a turnoff to a buyer who may go no further not understanding that it is just a temporary image. Steve

1. I like the drop down scheduling! Sure it goes out to 10 years which no one will ever use; but it just goes to show you the versality of a drop-down scheduler...
2. Don't like the extra click to login. This has to be a promotional issue (advantage?) for Vendio to let us see the bells and whistles that we know...already. New visitors. yes.
3. One more click to get to Image Management.

Conserve clicks; we only get so many in life!

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know we're reviewing the feedback here and elsewhere and exploring methods of providing what many feel is missing from the new scheduling method (the efficiency of the dropdowns for near term scheduling) while keeping the enhancements.

Hi Meffle,

I'd venture to say that most, if not all, of the difficulties people are having with the new scheduler are caused by typing in a time/date, as opposed to simply clicking on the little icon to the right.

That Vendio remembers the last scheduling time I selected makes it unbelievably simple to schedule my auctions.

I'm VERY happy with the new method.

Just wish it didn't take me accidentally launching two auctions when I only wanted to "schedule" them. For some reason I thought I had to click schedule and then it would give me the scheduling options. DUH!!

What a blonde moment. So I guess I just wish it had been a little more idiot proof the first time I used it.
A big red Banner saying "NEW Schedule an Auction format" would have been nice, so that those of us (probably only a few) who are click happy won't have auctions ending in the middle o'the afternoon that they wanted to end in the evening.

<GRRRR!!!>

Hi again Meffle,

Maybe move the calendar page icon to the left? So it's before the Schedule one?

Don't know if that would help. Just a thought...

Now back to the Two-Buck-Chuck.

Lucy

P.S. Thanks again for making my scheduling so much better!
