I've been reading a lot of complaints on these boards and hearing that people are very confused due to the new charges Vendio has put into place. It seems that there are a lot of people who are pretty ticked off and are looking for other services. I haven't been listing in the past 6 weeks or so but I'm starting up again tonight so I won't know the real impact until my next billing cycle. I think I must have been one of the first to try AW when it was free (also used Andale when it was free and called something else too). I've always enjoyed working with Vendio and haven't had anything to complain about and don't plan on leaving Vendio anytime soon. But how many are canceling their Vendio accounts and looking elsewhere because of the new fee structure?

Not me. Never happen.
Vendio provides the auction listing services I need. If my charges go up a few dollars a month that's not a problem.
I cannot imagine going back to listing direct to eBay. That would be nightmare time, pure and simple.
Vendio's image hosting is excellent and I like that I can now save images for as long as I need them. Sometimes I go back several months or even a year to relist something that didn't sell the first time around. It's nice to not need to upload the images again.
The scheduling option is superb, as are the templates. I made a template that works perfectly for me using their Template Workshop.
Customer service on these boards is very good. I've never had a question not answered within a reasonable time of posting it.
So count me OUT of your "How Many Are Leaving Due to New Fee Structure?" scenario.

I agree that I would not leave due to fees. I sometimes wonder if it is the low fees that keeps Vendio from adding features that people are clamoring for (e.g., shipping calculators).
We SAVE money every month by using Vendio. Simple arithmatic if you use 5+ pictures per listing and schedule each listing.
Now, if they don't get a shipping calculator soon ...

Count me out as well. If I had to pay an assistant to do what Vendio does it would be outrageous, so Vendio is a real deal in my opinion. I guess it all depends on your individual needs. So far I have not even noticed any increase in my fees.

I (like a LOT of others) am leaving - seeing if the new service pans out right now. Looks like they're going to have to make up the difference by raising the fees for you that are left (AGAIN, and probably without notice AGAIN).
Anyone that sells on ebay Knows we get newsletters from EVERYONE (my email filters them out for me). -and Ebay is so time consuming, we don't have time to check all the message boards. IF Vendio WAS actually trying to be FAIR- and let us know before we got Broadsided with the unexpected fees- don't you think they shouuld've put a Red BOX warning us next to our MB Usage Box on the Image hosting page??
Most of the people I know are slacking off listing because it just isn't paying well enough right now- I think Vendio is Just trying to make up their losses. GROSSLY Unfair!

First, thank you to those of you who have kind words for us.
Second, I feel I should say something about the idea proposed here that Vendio made these changes because we need the money. Frankly, that couldn't be further from the truth. If we needed the money, we would have simply charged more for Image Hosting across the board.
If you look at our prices versus our key competitors, we're the cheapest of the bunch. We can continue to offer these prices because we are profitable. This is not a secret - you can read our press release about it.
I'm sure the conspiracy theorists out there will continue with their theories. But the fact is we offer great prices on all our prices, not just Image Hosting. And we do so because we choose to for our customers.

I have been w/Vendio since they were AW and free. I didnt mind when they started charging fees (and I did recieve an email announcing those fees by the way). I sell for fun, for friends and family who dont know how to use a computer. But I also only sell sporadically and AW (at that time) fees were structured to fit me, only charging me for what/when I actually posted. With the new fees I would have to pay
even if I accidently left 1 pic in a recycle bin when I wasnt posting. I dont have money to throw away. I might still have considered staying, BUT THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT REASON why I will be leaving Vendio is thier LACK OF COMMUNICATION by not sending out an email announcing the new fees. To me this was
deceptive and saying it was on the announcement boards is a cop out. Vendio sent me an email in Aug saying I could save money by making referrals (over the years I've refered many to this service w/o a bonus), why did that announcement warrant a
special email and not the fees.
I dont want to do business w/a company like that. With the lowest 2.95 per month I can put 19 extra pictures on Ebay at thier .15 cents cost (in addtion to the 1 free per auction) and will only be paying for what I actually use. I will just not put alot of pics per auction.
