A suggestion for Vendio that really needs to be looked at seriously; I hope you haven't addressed here already but if so.....

When selecting the photos to be used in the auction, you also have the option to select the picture to be used for the gallery. However, Vendio allows you to update and schedule the auction with a picture selected but not having the Gallery Picture Button selected. So its very easy to launch an auction, with your chosen gallery picture, but no gallery picture in effect because Vendio's program permits the chosen picture but the option has not been selected. Vendio's default is, wisely, no gallery pic. I'd like to see when you select the gallery pic that Vendio program does not let you launch when the pic has been selected but not the option button.

I agree ... like if we 'choose' a gallery picture for a given listing, then the part under 'categories' could ideally automatically toggle over to 'gallery picture' as checked off ...

Hello,

I will log a suggestion on your behalf to provide some sort of error message when this happens.

Thanks, Christopher. I appreciate your referral; I hope they implement it. Being a seasonal seller (antiques and collectibles from mid Oct to end of March), I usually have to get up to speed with the changes during my off-time although read vendio boards daily.

My first week---learned the hardway. I had selected which photos for gallery but couldn't understand why no gallery pics.
Now it's just cumbersome to remember to make sure to select the button because of the default setting. I know it cost me a few bucks that first week but I bet eBay would hate to find out that people want the gallery but due to a default setting are losing their extra quarter per auction.

Thank you again!

Not Toybuyer,
In MY Account-Ebay Specifics, I have the default checked off to "eBay Gallery". When I attach the gallery photo, I never have to check it off and it launches properly every time. If I do not attach a gallery photo, it automatically changes to no gallery when I launch.
If I am understanding you correctly, maybe this will help.

Thank you for the reply (actually its toybuyer but I say I'm not toybuyer on eBay since someone else operates under that name).

You're correct, I could change the default setting since I do usually have a picture for the gallery. However, you just gotta believe that there's others who don't and are doing the same thing and may not know it.
I've been using Vendio/AuctionWatch for quite some time. I do like some of the new things they've changed.

Hard to believe I'm going into my 9th year!
Back then, photo, develop and scan! So you had to get dressed to go to the nearest Walgreens!
