I offer on some of my listings to combine shipping. Someone assumed I would combine two items, which can't easily ship together. They pointed to this in my shipping details..and I didn't put it there. It's in my auctions that I offer combined shipping..but gesh, not combined with my other listings. How do I get rid of this?:
"Save on shipping - buy additional items now from this seller's other listings!"

I had already looked there. None of those items are checked. It's only on the items that I have offered a discount shipping, if they buy more items from this particular listing..not any of my listings.

There is a global setting in eBay... all or none. PLUS other settings for individual listings and for the caption on the eBay gallery aka cross-promotion display!
I just ate $30 in shipping costs to save two sales that the bidder had counted on shipping together... oversize cartons!
For the global setting:
Go to My Account > Preferences > Shipping and Discounts > Offer shipping discounts on combined purchases
when you edit this setting, you have this choice:
Discount message to buyers
Show an enhanced shipping discount message in my listings, based on my selection above.
There is another global setting that controls the header of your cross-promotion display. I think this is what you are looking for.
I know I used it recently to change my header from saying that each addtional item would ship for $2. I've been looking for at least 15 minutes, and I'll be d*ned if I can find it again.

On the global setting, I have it set on 0, so it's not that. I have a discount on my individual auctions, that I want there, on my Dutch auctions..for instance, buy one personalized checkbook cover and s/h is $1..each extra one is .35 s/h. That seems to set off:
"Save on shipping - buy additional items now from this seller's other listings!"
Because it's only in the Dutch auctions where I offer discount s/h if you buy more than one.
