Upon occasion I find an item of college or university memorabilia to list on Ebay. However, I have yet to find a good category for such items.

It doesn't fall under fraternal organizations (which, by the way, has no subcategory for "fraternities and sororities" ) .

I've tried "Everything Else / Educational", but the only subcategories there are "General" and one for every set of grades from preschool to high school, but no category for college!

I've tried "Collectibles / Educational", but that doesn't seem quite good enough.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to which category would be appropriate for things such as glasses with a university logo printed on it, etc.? I'm definitely going to mention this to TPTB at Ebay - anyone have the email address for the person responsible for the categories there? Thanks a bunch!

It doesn't really matter what category something is in if there are people looking for it. I screwed up one listing category via Mister Lister. It's the only item getting bids right now.

Pick something close and be happy.

And make sure you have the school name in the title.

I agree.

If someone collects a particular school, I think they will run a search.

I had a framed Princeton calendar page from 1900, and placed it in Art: Calendars. It went to a buyer who was collecting only Princeton items.

That's was the good news.

The bad news....it resulted in my only bounced and not-made-good check.

She kept my merchandise, too.

LOL! Great thread title, eleanordew! I must be having a bad day because I hope I wasn't the only one thinking you were ready to start a tirade of comments on eBay bidders' and/or sellers' lack of intelligence
