Sellers:
How long do you give customers to return an item?
I state in my auctions that all sales are final, and returns are only accepted if I have not described something correctly.
A customer won a dress on 7/28. She sends Paypal payment on 8/3. I ship out next day, she says she received it on 8/11 (she lives in Hawaii). Emails me the same day saying the LINING in the dress has a small tear. (like that's a big deal) but anyways, I tell her according to my TOS, she has 5 days to return the item, and I will refund her money once I look the dress over.
No response from customer.
TODAY - 20 days LATER I receive the dress in the mail. No note, no info, nothing. Just the dress in a Priority box.
I'm a little ticked that (1) she didn't email me to let me know what she was gonna do about this and (2) that it took her 20 days to return it when I told her she had FIVE days.
What would you do about this? We're only talking a $15 dress, but it's the point of the lack of communication and not paying attention to TOS.

onsale...as long as it is the same dress that you shipped out originally and it does not appear to have been "worn", I would send out a refund right away.
You may just want to make sure that she didn't wear it for a special occasion and then decide to return it.
