I have a friend in her late 60's that won an art contest in the early to middle 1940's and had the results published in a Brenda Starr comic book. My friend designed an evening dress and it was printed in the comic book along with her name and address.
From what my friend told me it was in the spring or summer of 1943 to 1946. Whew. I would love to find this comic book for her as her copy was lost. I know it sounds like a hunt for the proverbial needle in a haystack, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I've searched ebaY and there is nothing. I'm not even sure it was a Brenda Starr comic book or if there even was such a thing or if my friend just remembers it that way and it was a Brenda Starr contest published in another comic. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
