This has been the worst two weeks I have ever had. I have had very few auctions end successfully, even with popular items that always sell!

This gets me thinking, should I list for the Labor Day Weekend? Or, should I wait until next week? Maybe then kids will be settled in school and last minute vacations will be over.

What are you doing? And does it seem like no one is on their computer this month?

Actually I did very nicely the other day. I do have a handful of auctions for Labor Day and more a couple days later. I think that it will be slow, but not dead, as they settle in for fall.

eBay bidding often defies logic.

Well I am listing more then usual. Alot of people like me stay off of the roads during Labor Day, (not wanting to become the statistic of the year) and usually the weather in mnay parts of the country is cruddy...so where are they going to be? Bidding up a storm, thats where! Lets get positive...(even though AW and EBAY are acting buggier then normal these past couple of days.) I figure if they don't sell, they are all ready for me to re-list with just a click of the mouse.

I have a few auctions closing early next week, and the hit counters have been abysmal this week.

For instance, one item which did not sell the first time out (receiving 120+ hits on the counter) is relisted this week, and so far has had 17 lookers in five days. I do hope things pick up after the holiday.

fwiw, I started listing again a week ago, and for my items, the bidders are back (!) - in June I could go DAYS without a bid on any of the 100 or so auctions I try to keep open. Now I'm seeing them come in bunches, with counter-bidding and everything.

I did really well last week at ebay and yahoo I am listing items but the days are set to 10 instead of seven .

if they are out there they will look and buy if there not they will still be there toward the end of next week.

my guess is the frist week kids are back at home and parents arent chaseing after and wondering where they are they will be playing catch up with there web habbits and email buddys.

as well the collge kids are back at school with there computers and the credit debt paid up on dads credit cards they will be on the hunt for the CDs tapes and things they missed out on over the summer.
