1st time for everything I guess. Box is among the missing. Label came off. USPS sent the label back to me with lower corner damage but sticking just fine to the form they filled out and stuck it to. It was the USPS issued Priority label which in my opinion usually has amazing sticking power.<P>Package was insured for the selling price. I have insurance receipt. Printed out the transaction and the list of bid history on the item. The local PO started the search but nothing has surfaced. It will be one month in a few days. What do you think--will I ever see the light on this? Any wisdom on what else I may need to have or do is greatly appreciated...Thanks so much. OH, I AM NOW SMART ENOUGH TO ENCLOSE THE ADDRESS INSIDE THE BOX TOO, BUT TOO LATE SMART.

I've only filed one claim, so I'm no expert.
I just remember I went to the post office armed with all sorts of price guides to prove items worth, and no one even looked at them. They just took my word for it. But this was on a plate that was insured for less than $50. I've heard of people having problems on items insured for over $50.

Just found this thread. They lost a $80.00 book for me and I did have my name and address in the inside of the package. They took a copy of the insurance ticket and a copy of my EOA notice. They sent that information and a form that I had filled out to the buyer where she filled out her information and a copy of her check and in 6 weeks she received her money along with the postage. You can either have the check mailed to you or the buyer. It takes a while but all good things come to those who wait.
