On Dec. 8 I won an auction for a magazine I hoped to use as a Christmas present. When I didn't hear from the seller by the next day, I e-mailed him, and repeated the e-mail for the next 4 days. Judging by his feedback record (650 positives and about 30 negatives) I decided I'd gotten a rotten apple and to just move on. I bought another gift and forgot about him. Now, 3 weeks later, he files an NPB on me because I haven't paid--and this is the first time I've even heard from him! I wrote back that I didn't intend to now purchase the magazine, and would possibly leave him a negative. He immediately wrote back (where was he 3 weeks ago?) and he says he plans to go ahead with the NPB process (which will look bad on my record,) and that he will retaliate with a neg if I leave one for him. I sent an e-mail to customer support explaining the problem, but at this point it looks like he's going to get his filing fees back, I'm going to be held responsible for payment, and in short--I'm the one getting the shaft. Any suggestions?
