Hi, I had a bidder who won 4 auctions of mine. They were clothing auctions so I had measurements of everything in each auction. Auctions clearly stated ALL SALES FINAL, since I gave such precise measurements.
Bidder paid for them, I shipped them out on 1/16 by Priority Mail. Shortly after, the bidder started bidding on 3 more of my clothing auctions - all a size larger.
Today, I receive an email from bidder saying "all dresses did not fit" and that she wants to exchange the old ones for the new ones that she bid on that are a size larger, and that my "descriptions were not accurate" or else they would have fit her. Funny how she just now contacts me about this, AFTER she received the first package and AFTER she bids & wins 3 more dresses of a larger size.
So, I check out her feedback. 9 feedbacks, 12 NEGS (all for non-payment) and she is NARU'D.
I emailed her back, telling her that I'm sorry they did not fit and that she should have checked the measurements I gave in my ad.
Well, she just emailed me back the following:
You gave 30" waistlines or more on these dresses. Yes, I did go by your measurements and yes, I did win additional auctions on some more of your dresses. I would like to resolve this matter currently between us. Let me look at my records when I get home tonight and get the item numbers on the dresses that I won before I was listed as a Non-Registered User. Sorry about the negative feedback, but this has nothing to do with the transaction(s) currently going on between us. I'm sure you do not want to run the risk of negative feedback to yourself and as I have purchased four separate auctions, plus I believe three more (as soon as I confirm them tonight), I will post each feedback separately and it will not be good. I am very angry that these dresses were not what you described them to be and I expect you to cooperate in resolving the issue. No matter what you think about the feedback. Please respond.
So, this NARU'D bidder is now threatening me with 7 NEGS. I know she can't leave NEGS as long as she's NARU'D, but I'm hoping she can't get RE-REGISTERED and THEN neg me. Isn't this feedback extortion? I'm pretty upset about this. I have contacted Safe Harbor but don't know if they can do anything about this loser.
Oh, and she paid by BILLPOINT! UGH!!
So what do you all think?

All sales final means all sales final. If she is naru'd, she cant leave fb. If they let her back on, she can. However, if she negs you 7 times, just respond 7 times. People will look at her feedback, and yours, and see whats going on. Have faith in your bidders...they arent dumb and will see.

Yeah, but if she re-registers won't she have a new ID and NOT be able to leave feedback that was attached to the ID that got NARU'd?

As far as the chargeback to Billpoint though - I have proof that she received the items - will Billpoint still allow a chargeback just because they don't fit her??

Don't sweat it. She can't leave negative feedback and has at least 30 days to forget about it. She more than likely will not be back. A chargeback however is always a possibility....

Just a question, once someone is no longer registered, does that ID become available after a certain length of time?

If somebody is NARU'd, then reinstated, and leaves negative feedback for transaction(s) that occurred before they were NARU'd, eBay will likely remove it. Check the Feedback Removal Policy, I think it's the final bullet item.

I would send a copy of your email and a copy of her email to SafeHarbor.

If by some freak occurence she does get her account reinstated it will take a lot of emails back and forth from her to Ebay.....by then most likely it will be too late to leave feedback.
You can also blacklist that bidder from being able to do anything to your feedback or items.
Since she is NARU'd I think you are clear from having to deal with those newer bids.
This isn't a friggin department store you can't just return stuff if the seller doesnt take returns simple enough.

Do we have a black list that I did not know about?

I was wondering the same thing - I know Yahoo has a blacklist - but not Ebay. Ebay has the opposite of a "blacklist" - a list where you can put Pre-Approved bidders on that list and only bidders on that list can bid (totally useless & stupid).. but not a blacklist...

I assumed it had a blacklist feature. I went back and looked everywhere.....
It is quite shameful that there isn't one on such a large site.
Other than the invite only auctions...there is no way to stop people from bidding all of your items in a malicious way or retaliation bids for prior transactions.
I am quite suprized they don't have any feature to block specific people from your items.

Not an automated blacklist but you can tell a person not to bid any of your auctions again and copy to safe harbour and they will enforce it.

Hi, thought I would let you know what Safe Harbor said about this. I am in shock that they are actually on MY SIDE!
Thank you for taking the time to contact us with this information. I understand how this situation could be of some concern.
I have reviewed the information that you have sent in regarding user ID XXXXXXX and at this point find that we will not take any action against this now suspended user.
Due to this user being a suspended user they will not be able to post any feedback on your account.
I would like to view the email where they threatened to give you feedback so I may make note of it on their account. I will need the full header to that email also. I need both the email and its full header or I will not be able to retain the information.
