I just received an email regarding a purchase I made, and paid for several days ago. I paid through PayPal and the item was to be sent USPS. I just got an email stating that because of "Postal problems" they will be shipping UPS and not until Monday.
Can I request that my item be shipped via the post office, as I paid for and expected? UPS takes a long time to deliver! It's going to be 2 weeks before I get my item.
Adding that the item purchased is a child's DVD for my daughters birthday and it won't arrive in time if it is not sent as originally stated.

I think if you purchased it for a gift, and payed for an agreed upon method. I would politely insist that it be sent so that it can arrive on time, or you won't need it. At this point it's up to the seller to make sure you get it when you need it. It's not your fault they're having postal problems. Unless it blew up and there is no other post office for a hundred miles there should be no excuse. Just my opinion, and I am a seller I make sure things go out when and how they should as most of us do.
