Awhile back someone posted on here about giving customers coupons to try to create return customers.
Well I had started doing this right about the same time that they started that post and I said I was doing it already.
I was asked to comeback and let you all know how it went.
Well, I must say it is working very well !
I have sent all of my customers a 10% off your next purchase coupon and although I have not recieved any coupons back, I am getting alot of return customers.
They are coming back in droves, but not even using the coupons !!
They mention the coupons and say this and that, but at the end, they do not take their 10% off !!!
I have even included special keywords to mention on the coupons if paying via Paypal and I get payments with the keyword in them, but no deduction.

Congratulations, Cix!
I too have offered a 10% discount on future purchases; however, I think that something "in-hand" like a coupon would work even better! I hope you don't mind my using your idea, and send a coupon out with all my sold items.
Thanks for the information, and congrats again on your success!!

I do this too as it ties in well with the items I sell. It's been great for me too!
I love my repeat buyers! :0)

Hi, Cix,
I am the one that posted here asking about coupons. Thanks for the update, and congratulations! I am so glad it is working out, I think I may try it! Although, I sell a little of this and a little of that, with no real consistency in what I sell. Do you sell alot of the same types of items, or a mish-mash like me? I imagine that might make a difference...

I also send out 10% off coupons after the first order. I have only had a few repeat customers. I guess it takes some people a while to use 50 of one of my items.

i to offer a discount 30% off the web site and use the ebay auction number as the code fro them to order off the site...i tell the ebay customer that it is good for 30 days from the time the auctions closes...sometimes i change the speacial to free shipping as well on the web site.. i have had great returns this way to both the web site and the auctions
You're probably asking the wrong person, it's been 20 years since mine, but I think you could do well with a 'fun' assortment - colored, flavored, glow in the dark - Maybe package it with a mini-champagne bottle of bubble bath or massage oil all wrapped up in netting and a ribbon tied into a bow. (Could be a stag party gift, etc - you could probably also get the bubble bath or oil bulk if it sells).
Sorry about the off-topic everyone - I just think Trey sells in a market that would be fun to write the ads for - you know - all sorts of possibilities and themes that you could do!
