I was checking my delivery confirmation numbers and found out I put the wrong address on the package, and insurance. I emailed buyer about mistake. Does anyone know what will happen next. Does Priority mail get held at destination post office or is it returned to sender. Thanks, you all have been a big help to a newbie.

If it was sent to an address that does not exist, then it should get sent back to you. If it was sent to an existing address, but to the wrong person, an alert mailperson may return the package, or the person at that address may return it. I have gotten all kinds of mail (first class and junk) addressed to people who don't live here, and the mailperson always puts it in the box. But a package might be a different story.

I had a seller send me the wrong package once. I emailed her for the shipping address and just forwarded it to the right buyer. She was very grateful and sent me a check for the shipping, but I never cashed it.

A seller once sent something I ordered to the wrong person. She emailed and told me what happened and the other person sent it to me. No problem, I still buy from her.

Thanks every one. This was one of the first packages I had to send. I was trying to figure out insurance, certificate of delivery and all that stuff. Left out a number. Duh
