I have a big problem and need help. I've been waiting on a package from Canada for a whole month and it has never arrived. Wait-- it gets better. I've had trusted repeat bidders send me money orders and they are not showing up a week later or at all. I even gave someone a neg for not sending payment but what if the postman stole it. We changed mail delivery people recently. I sent an e-mail to the Postal Inspector to see what they could do about this situation. Now I have auctions ending tonight and how should I tell the people to send their money orders safely to me??? I can't believe this is happening. If you read about a homeowner punching out a mail carrier in the news, then it might be me. Please help!!!!

I don't think you can say for sure that it's the Postman. Many news shows have reported on scavengers that drive down streets taking all mail in mailboxes and pitching what they don't want. This too includes your outgoing payments to whomever. They steal those checks and forge them! I never stick payments in my home mailbox. I always drop in the nearest big blue box. I don't have enough money to share with theives!

I, too, don't understand why you think it's your postman, unless you've actually caught him doing it.
Anything could have happened ... for example, it could have simply gotten lost, someone at the originating post office could have stolen it, someone who handled the package along the way could have stolen it, it could have been delivered to the wrong address, it could be sitting at your post office waiting for you to pick it up (pick-up notices DO get lost occasionally!), it could have gotten sent on a "scenic route", it could have been stolen AFTER it was delivered ..... all kinds of possibilities.
If you call your local post office and talk to the postmaster, he or she may have some suggestions.

Every time our regular mailman is on vacation, we get a substitute. ALWAYS, we end up with several of our neighbors letters during this time period.
