Has anyone used an HP 315 digital camera for taking pictures to use on eBay? I am looking at buying one because I can get a good rebate and was wondering if it took clear enough pictures and could zoom in close enough with just a digitial zoom rather than an optical zoom. Anyone?

You might want to do a search on it at http://www.epinions.com and see what others are saying about that digital camera.

I had bought an HP digital camera (can't remember which model it was) but I remember it took HORRIBLE pics. Actually, if you are taking outdoor shots they come out nice - but close ups, indoor shots come out horrible, IMO. Mine also had a zoom and that was just about useless.

I returned it and bought a Sony Mavica and I couldn't be happier with it. I have had 5 digital cameras in the past 4 years and the only one I would recommend is the Sony Mavica.

I have the HP C618 and I adore it! The only thing I would like to change is to have more optical zoom - digital zoom is worthless.

I have only owned one digital camera & that is the Sony Mavica. Bought it because of recommendations & raves on this board. They were right 100% It's wonderful & sooo easy to use for someone like me, who knew nothing about dig cameras.
You won't be sorry if you buy a Sony Mavica.

An HP rep I know uses that camera and the pics look good. I think the next model up (800 series) has optical zoom. There's a new Kodak camera out for around the same price, check www.kodak.com. For eBay sellers, I think zoom is very important for showing detail.
