They used to yank software auctions left and right, recently I see more used software auctions completed successfully. Maybe they got sued by some sellers.

It depends on the software being sold. M$ spends more money yanking two-bit eBay auctions than is financially worthwhile. Many software licensing terms are in violation of other laws regarding property; it's only a matter of time before M$ will wind up hanging themselves with the noose they try and use on sellers.
