I know most holidays are down, but Thanksgiving seems to be a time a giving thanks, but also the lead in to shopping season -- with people getting in a mindset of shopping on that day.
I know we used to pore over the sales ads wishing that stores were open on Thanksgiving instead of the day after. In the past couple of years many stores HAVE started opening on Thanksgiving.
So, my question is, from past experience, does this shopping-focused buildup make Thanksgiving an exception to the slow-holiday "rule" or will Thursday be totally dead?

Thanksgiving has always been slow for me. Remember black friday is a huge shopping day and many go to malls, etc. I always waited till the sunday after thanksgiving to list.

Last Thanksgiving was a butt-kicking day for me. Every time I refreshed my auction page it had changed. I was a bit suprised.........

I remember Thanksgiving time being slow even back when eBay was at its best. I found it a good day to list because not many sellers did and that made the Thursday after a great day for me.

I did well last Thankgiving, but I hate to admit that I am really dreading Christmas this year as far as selling on E-Bay. If I didn't need the money I would omit listing anything the whole month of December.I don't even thing senting everything Priority will help the packages get there in a reasonable time, and E-Bays Checkout crap is driving me up the wall now.I hope nobody else feels this way, maybe its just me because I'm working a full time job and doing E-Bay too.

Guess it depends on what you sell. People are out shopping, and probably more women than men, so if your items cater to men, there is more free time, and maybe more sales. If your items cater to women, you might see fewer sales.
