Ebay sent me an email saying I had 24 hours to get the AW icon out of my auctions before they closed all of them. According to AW:
Q: Is my Storefront compliant with eBay's regulations regarding links including in auction listings?
A: Yes. Your Storefront link goes directly to your homepage, which only features eBay listings. Therefore your Storefront is in complete compliance with eBay's listing regulations.
Have sent a request to Customer Service for help...but feel this is retalitory for opposing Checkout...evidently I am not the only one. Anyone have any ideas?

I have received no Email complaints from Ebay what so ever about my listing or the AW atore banner and I have 30 active listings running any day of any week includeing right this at this time.

I would check the headers of the email and see if maybe this wasn't sent to you by maybe someone selling in the same catagory as you or even maybe someone who is upset with AW new rules for the message board who may have got a hold of your email address

The AW banner is not aganst Ebay rule as it just links to picture of your active ebay auction and link directly back to your auctions on ebay.

I checked my AW banner to be safe and while it does take you to all the listings I have on ebay but if you click the "shop" tab on the screen it takes you to my AW store. Where buy it now is an option. Wonder if that could be what ebay is talking about. I'm going to have to sort through this and see on my own auctions.

Hello everybody,

We are aware of an issue with our banner for the c2it $5 referral promotion being larger than the stated eBay guideline. We are in communication with eBay on this issue, and we will do our best to ensure that your current auctions are not canceled because of this.

We have also revised our banner so new launches will be in compliance with eBay guidelines.

Please accept our apologies for this error.

baylor45, are you certain that eBay was referring to your Storefront icons, and not the c2it banners?

Regards,

Diana

With the constant changing rules at eBay about what is allowed and not allowed, I would not be surprised by anything....

I thought they had basically forbidden all outside links....

This is clearly the fault of AuctionWatch. As Diana said the C2IT banner is too large and in violation of ebay policies.

Errors happen all the time.
Ebay makes every effort to confound users and third party site users. I remember the constant go-round with the PayPal banner sizes a couple of years ago. ebay loves to make people jump through hoops, they seem to be working up to flaming hoops with knifes attached.
