Thanks for the correction update on the Ebay billing errors that affected a lot of sellers this month..I am now filling out your "short" customer satisfaction survey..

What specifically could eBay do to improve our services and products?
Since you ask,....
1: You could support all sellers more and let the "buyers beware" as it is in any auction or other consumer interface, we are tired of being second rate to buyers..we pay the fees! Protection for the buyer, yes, AFTER the fact, with due reason but let them take a little responsibility on their own, as well, BEFORE the fact! Let them do a little research, email questions, etc. Let them be responsible buyers. You need to quit gearing every aspect of the venue to them (or using them as a scape goat) at the expense of seller flexability and grant that most sellers have integrity and are moral & honest in the posting and completion of their auctions. Most of us love what we do and take pride in our auctions. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, it directly reflects our very character.

2: Establish a voting process about seller affected features and post the election totals..go back to community and get off the egotistical publicity tour. Ebay used to feel like family three years ago... everybody was happy and congenial, including buyers. Quit herding us like sheep with no brains for constructive imput. In some forums I have read, Ebay has been defined as having nazi-like tactics! Far cry from "family", as Ebay used to be considered.
3: How about posting a visible daily poll regarding various issues for your sellers?....accept topic suggestions..and utilize the results for improved seller & ebay relations!
I know, I am probably on the proverbial S___ list now for voicing my opinion but while I am at it..
I (and many others) HATE THE NEW EBAY mandatory CHECK OUT feature! Totally confusing and not fair that you do not offer ALL choices of online payment OR at least have a TOTAL OPT OUT where it WOULD NOT appear on the page AT ALL! You are (& have been) attempting to take away freedom of choice and being you are "just a venue", you should not being trying to force feed all these type issues that only mean to serve your own prosperity under the guise of, on this particular issue, the buyers "convenience" (what about the sellers "convenience" and rights as a free enterprise??) PULEEEESE! A lot of us feel like the little shack on the other side of the tracks with a big condo corp trying to force us off our land in the name of progress & profit..ie:..you just seem NOT to want us small sellers around anymore, but realize, we are the bearing walls of your structure...everything else is cosmetic and subject to change like the stock market. Reminds me of the old adage...the bigger they are, the harder they fall...hope you have your collective A___'s padded!

Nicely said, kiddo2

I hope you've posted your views over at eBay? Hard to tell these days with posting ID's. A quick copy and paste of your post here should do the trick. )

If you haven't been there, copy and paste the following URL to get to the Checkout Discussion board. Interest reading and pretty one-sided, if you know what I mean. )

Thanks for the suggestion, mihijo... I have a few positive replys over at the check-out forum.. Listed as MY 2 CENTS WORTH..No response from Ebay, though, and I wrote them days ago...Guess they are so used to dissent to their numerous policies (who can remember them all!) via massive emails, they must have a computerized automatic delete? ..delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete..delete.. delete..delete..delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete... delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.. delete.........
Are we really here at all? Are they? Maybe it is all just a figment of our imaginations! Helloooooooo
Ebay...Anybody there???
