Hi,

I have a record up for auction the the high bidder has 10 positive feedbacks, 4 negative and 2 nuetral's. Both Nuetrals and all 4 negatives are for non payment. Also, he tends to leave negative feedback as retaliation when he is negged for non pay.

I would like to cancel his bid and block him from bidding but don't want to get into trouble. I read the reasons Ebay gave for doing this and bad feedback was not listed. Has anyone else canceled bids based on feedback? This record is up to $20.50 and I do not want to lose the sale.

Thanks,
Linda

I once thought about it with a -1 buyer, but they came through.

I also will not neg a buyer, but I do file for Non Paying Bidder Fees. For those who think negative feedback harms buyers, think about this: If the sellers had done the NPB form instead of a neg, this person would have already been kicked off ebay. Now, they can cause problems for other sellers.

WHY NOT EMAIL HIM NOW AND ASK IF HE INTENDS TO HONOR HIS BID??
tell him you need the money and cant afford to lose sales??

Hi lindajean,
I just looked at my auctions and saw someone with -1 bid on one of my auctions and that neg is for no contact. Like you I don't want to lose this auction but I WANT MY MONEY from the high bidder. I'm a little worried but hoping someone overbids this person. I guess I am just going to hope for the best on this. I'm new to selling and learning all kinds of things.

Yesterday I posted a comment that anything you need to know, it probably has already been addressed by the board and this proves it. I looked and there you were with the same question. Hope it turns out ok for you...and me too.

Yes, I once cancelled the bid of an international bidder and placed him on my blocked list. He had a total of (-2) feedback with the majority of the negatives being from non-payment. I just called it an administrative cancellation for excessive negative feedback.

I will always cancel a bid and then block the bidder if they have an overall negative feedback. I place "Overall Negative Feedback" in the comment.

Thanks everyone. I had the page called up to cancel his bid last night when I decided to see what everyone else had to say first. I guess I will just hope he gets outbid at the last minute since he does have 10 positives and only the 6 negative. I'm going to be a little nervous about it, but I know this lp will sell if I have to relist it so rather than getting into an email battle over canceling the bid I will just hope for the best.

Thanks again!
