Just had a bid cancelled -- "Administrative
Cancellation". This has happened to me a couple of times, but with a little research it was easy to understand. This time I'm wondering WHY? The bidder is Not Registered, but has 705 positive feedbacks 0
neutrals and 1 Neg. Anybody know why this
happens? Am I correct that this is done by Ebay and not the bidder?

They have been narued by e-bay for some reason or another so all of their bids are canceled. Even with spotless feedback they may have commited a serious enough offense for suspension

Dont be to quick on the draw - It could be that the guys credit card expired or went over limet when ebay billed him for selling. If they cant bill your card they Admin you untill you fix it. Id wait a bit and check with your bidder via email.
Luck o the day to ya !

There are so many possible reasons. In addition to the offenses mentioned, there is also the possibility they were selling trademarked goods without authorization from the maker; counterfit goods; using copyrighted art or design without permission; selling WTC, Nazi, Police Badges etc. against rules; and the worst offense of all...
...naru'd for posting negative comments on the ebay boards. All it takes is one pissed off ebay employee to ruin a business.

It happened to me when I retracted a bid that I had placed in error on a "US only" item. Even though the seller sent me a nice email and the item sold for a good price (higher than my bid), eBay suspended me for 14 days for "bid manipulation".
My fb rating after three months of buying was in the high 60's, so I told them to take their venue and stuff it where the sun don't shine!
As a result of eBay's suspension of me, a total of (7) good sellers got the administrative cancellation notice from eBay that day
