It is not searchable from the main page

It is not in the list of categories as you browse.

When I click on one of my items (the top link bar) to see other items in my category it takes me to the home page.

I forked out $200 to feature some of my items and they are hidden from the world.

Has anyone heard anything about this??

I'm able to do all these things just fine.

Is it possible that your not logged in under a mature profile? Try signing in and see if it works.

I log in under mature profile every 15 minutes while I am working on my stuff.

It is not listed from the main page list of categories.

After logging in I'll click on one of my items there then click the link to its category and get sent to the main page STILL.

I have been getting a few hundred page views a day and today it is only a dozen or so.

It's not listed on the main page - it's under the "Everything Else" category. I don't know how long it's been listed under that category rather than as its own main category - maybe that was part of their recent revamp.

As for getting kicked back to the main page instead of to the category listings - maybe your cookies are turned off? I don't know for certain, I just know I'm not having the same problem. But if your pageviews are so far down, you're evidently not the only person experiencing the problem.

The Adult section has been behind the curtain for almost 2 years now.

The items are not searchable in regular search and they will NOT show up on the home page if you feature your items.

I don't know if they ever added a search function. I know there wasn't one for a very long time.

Being an adult category seller........I know it is under Everything Else...........

It was anyways..........

My cookies can't be turned off since I am in there several times a day

It was there yesterday.....now it is not

Some of you might get in through your own methods I can through many clicks in strange places.......I am talking about access to your common every day bidder.

NO LONGER is the Mature audience category listed under EVERYTHING ELSE......as of today on the main page.

NO LONGER can I be logged into mature audiences.....click on MY adult item.....click on the above category on the item page it is listed in and see the rest of the category.......It sends me to the main page.

I know your responses mean well but I think you answered before you saw the difference on Ebays main page.

This happened today.

I put out a lot of money to feature a bunch of dutch auctions and was over 3,000 page views on just a few auctions running.

Today I barely have 100 pages views since the category link disappeared and only 1 tiny bid.

Also note that Risque Novelties WAS its own category under EVERYTHING ELSE

NOW It was moved down 2 LEVELS to EVERYTHING ELSE/Gag Gifts, Novelties/Risque Novelties.

Anyone seeing a pattern here???

I pay the same fees as everyone else.

Noone can get into the adult category without a CC verified account.....its not like you can just surf on into there which is fine.

But if they were going to eliminte the Mature Audiences category at LEAST give warning so I would not have paid an EXTRA $200 bucks to feature a bunch of stuff noone can get into to see.

I hope we're talking about the same thing, but when I access eBay's site map, then go to the category list, click on EVERYTHING ELSE, the Mature category is still there, and once I verify sign-in, some 57000+ items are accessible, and you can search within that category, once you're logged in. I don't see any change here, you haven't been able to search it from the main eBay site for a long time, but it has been in Everything Else for a long time, too, and still seems fine & bubbling to my eye.

Have you been there today???

I can't be losing my mind here

I know its been under Everything else for the last 2 years because I have been selling there for those 2 years.

Today is a different day from the last 730+ days............

It is no longer listed there.

Can someone please pretend they haven't been to Ebay daily as from a sellers prospective.

As from a random bidders perspective go and try to find it and report back.

The Risque Novelties section has been buried down 2 levels.....before it was Everything else..........then its own subcategory of Risque Novelties

NOW it is
Everything Else THEN
Gag Gifts, Novelties THEN
Risque Novelties

And MATURE AUDIENCES categories in EVERYTHING ELSE is gone.

That sounds like me because I haven't been selling for awhile and I am a random bidder somewhat. Though I don't cruise the adult stuff.

I went to an ebay page and at the top I clicked:

Browse

Then I scrolled down to where it says: Everything Else

At the bottom of that list is Mature Audiences. When I click on that I get a page that says Please sign in.

On the page where I scrolled down to see Everything Else if I click on Everything Else it brings me to another page.

When I scroll down there I see a blue background and listings for Mature Audiences and it has ALL the categories for stuff like Adult toys, Clothing and Magazines, etc.

This is the page I was talking about. If you scroll down you see all the Mature Audience categories.

Thanks for checking for me.

Why the F*** does it not show like that when I try browsing as a random person.

And why when after the tedious BS of logging in to view my own item after I have already logged into My Ebay I'll click at the category link at the top of the item title does it redirect me to the main page???

And why have I gotten hundreds of page views every day down to just a handful today.......

I am soooo freaking out at this point........

I featured over a dozen items ending in the next 2 days with plans to do the same run of featured dutch auctions when those end.

I am in negative numbers at this point. *cries*

I agree that it's frustrating to log in after you're already logged in. I found I had to do that with my ebay store also.

Sometimes it seems like you are going around in circles on ebay these days. Glad it's not just me that feels this way.

The categories are monumental now and they keep breaking them down time and time again and it's getting crazy. It's amazing newbies find anything at all these days. I think it's a miracle if they even find your auction let alone bid on it.

With all the payment methods, checkout, categories, rules and regulations and stuff changing almost daily ask me how eager I am to jump in selling again after hardly doing any auctions in a few months.

Hi Lovepotions,

You're not crazy. For some reason, I can only see the Mature Audiences category if I have Java Scipt turned on. I didn't see the category on the link kiara provided until I turned Java back on.

I surf with Java turned off because those stupid ads ebay has forced on us bogged the site down so much it was taking forever for a page to load, even in the middle of the night when there was hardly anyone else there. I live in the country and will never have access to a cable or dsl line.

Yes, I know those of you with DSL lines can surf faster, but believe me there are more people with regular phone connections like me than there are people like you.

If you're wondering why hits and bids are down, I pretty much guarantee that this is part of the reason. If I were just browsing the site as a buyer and had to wait the length of time it takes for a simple search page to load with Java turned on, I'd be gone pretty quick.

It's only a matter of time before ebay makes it's site unviewable unless you have Java turned on so you're subjected to all of the ads they want to put up to make more money.

A site is worthless if people give up and leave because it takes an eternity for the pages to load.

You make a very good point. I am on a cable connection but it hasn't been working very well for a couple of months now as they do upgrades.

I notice that ebay pages are taking longer and longer to load and I find it very frustrating and I do wonder about the buyers and sellers that don't have access to DSL and cable. It must take forever to list things on ebay and to buy now as the pages are crammed with so much stuff. What used to be fun for me is now getting to be a chore.

It makes me wonder what they have in mind to replace all the A4A banners with when they are gone.

Update

I am stil having troubles at times finding the Mature Audiences........

But I know know why and it bothers me and should bother other sellers as well

Whenever I click around quite often I will somehow be defaulted to AOL/Ebay with the tan bar at the top.

I am not a user of aol and I don't know how or why there are 2 versions of Ebay but whenever I find myself surfing around ebay under the AOL/Ebay aol.ebay.com headline the Mature audiences category is gone.

I have to completely leave Ebay then come back and be under ebay.com to be able to see the mature audiences. I frequently check out what my competitors are selling and at what prices get bids popular trends etc etc.

I'd be really interested to know why there is an aol.ebay.com and an ebay.com and why the aol.ebay.com version is excluding certain categories.

Ever since AW required credit cards, the mature audiences went to other chat sites.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
