As you may have guessed, I'm on vacation this week.<s>
OK. I've been selling on eBay for about two years. I use a Kodak DC120 Digital for my pics. I then use Paintshop Pro to resize and crop.
My confession:
To this day I don't know how to do close-ups. When I zoom in, I wind up with a blurry, grainy blob. I have three additional lenses and am clueless how to use them.
Meanwhile I have fine crystal, jewely, whatnot sitting around because I'm not taking pictures of anything that isn't large or can't fit in my scanner.

also low resolution,no matter how hard you try, wont turn out too good for jewelry.
professional jeweler used high resolution camera and strong lighting, most do not use digital camera and have them done in a studio with special lighting.
but then i have seen some excellent photos on ebay by dealers who use digital cameras with high resolution.
you can call kodak and they should be able to help

Hi
If you need to do very close shots put the camera if it has the setting in MACRO this will allow you to make shots very close and very clear.
