I am really convinced this new sort feature with BIN has increased my small sales business. Since I only have several things out at one time, I can't help but notice.

After this feature started, I noticed my # of viewers start to build. Now, this week, I am having trouble keeping something "not bought" on the board. One buyer e-mailed me to ask me to let her know if I got anything more of what she bought.

Yeah..Ive had alot more hits and bids with my items under the BUY IT NOW tab. Since this just started I havent had an actual BIN customer but all the same..I'm getting more bids. I guess its because the BIN auctions are seperated from all auctions stuck together and are more visible. The other day I put a lot of items on for $6.99 and 5 hours later it was upto $25 with 3 days still to go.

Go Figure!

I hope this keeps up. The more multiple bids, the better! It can be pretty discouraging to have an auction fizzle with 1 bid for a whole week.

It will be interesting to see what happens when all the featured auctions go back ontop the listings. I don't know but I would guess the first page not being full of featured auctions has something to do with the increased bids. When they get them swicthed back to the old way I expect bids on non features to drop again. Let's just hope they stay a little better than they had been.

Hi
I have used BIN in a lot of auctions.
Generally as example I will list @ $29.00 with BIN @$35.00.
Result is that 40% sell @BIN price.
Some folks just don't like the 'bidding' game what with sniping and all.

As long as eBay retains the BIN tab, I don't think restoring the featured items placing should hurt the increase sales in BIN. I've sold everything this week. It's only my opinion (& I hope I'm right), that the new BIN sort feature drew all this new business on it's own.

Going from 10 to 50 viewers (1 example) for a small timer like me is a big jump. The extra viewers has brought extra buying. I'm getting BIN + Pay Instantly. It's great.

loony,
I have lost many auctions by 1 cent due to sniping. I like to search by BIN and New Items. That way I get the fresh stuff and a good deal if I keep trying without getting it sniped from under me.

I wonder how long before ebay gives a .30¢ option to have our auction listed on the BIN page and regular auctions?

You may be seeing increased action because the Olympics are over and we're in a peak buying season. There's no telling it is strictly because of the new feature.
