Hello All,
I just had a buyer Welch on me last week that was not registered with ebay? Said so right by his ID name. Today I looked at a seller’s item but the seller feedback is “Private” What is the world does all THAT mean?

I had a seller go Private after he received a huge amount of negs in the same couple of weeks. Only the seller can view his/own feedbacks when they are private. Personally, I would shy away from bidding on a seller with Private feedback.

To clarify, if your feedback is private, people can see the total number (negs, neutrals, and positives), but just can't read the comments.
I wouldn't have any problem selling to someone with private feedback if the numbers were right. Many people have private feedback not because they have a lot of negatives (that is visible no matter what you do), but because they buy and sell with the same ID and don't want people following them around and outbidding them on stuff they want to resell, or because they occasionally purchase adult items and don't want people to know, or even because they buy a lot of gifts on eBay and don't want their friends or relatives to be able to check up on their purchases.
Private feedback is not always a sign of a bad buyer...just a "private" one.
