Thought some of you would get a giggle out of this. Few weeks back I auctioned a group of spike bracelets (Wendy O Williams style) Bidding was good and the price ended around 70 dollars - I was happy - Bidder sent paypal for the balance minus shipping- before wbn goes out - Im still happy thinking ill just ask for the shipping to be sent before I mail. I notice the bidder is in BC Canada - Auction states US only - and for a very good reason ( Spike bracelets are not permitted into Canada) Weve lost a few shipments to customs before finding out. Im really bummed and do a paypal refund along with a nice email explaining things. Bidder is insistant that he will find a way to get the items - Im thinking its a lost cause and to humor him say Id be happy to ship it to a US address if he had one. Couple days later He emails me with a US address and sends another Paypal payment. I mail his package thinking its done. Yesterday I get a phone call- Its my bidder calling from the US/Canada Border and he cant get his spiked bracelets thru so He asks to mail them back to me and that I mail them back to the US addy he provided if he paid round trip shipping- I was surprised but said I would do it. Just dont know why he wants to ship it to me instead of direct to the US addy he picked it up from. Perhaps the Customs agent allowed him to either ship it to the originator or have it confiscated ?
I was impressed by how determined this bidder was to claim his bracelets.... Thought the transaction was bust, but it wasnt. I guess a little patience is a good thing.
