Hi:

I list my auction's right here through AW.
If I want to add HTML code to underline, boldface or the likes.
Do I do it the same as we do right here in the E/O board?
Or is there a different procedure to follow.
I've always wanted to try but was afraid I'd have to go in and revise the auction to clean up the mess.
Thanks for any help!

you can use any HTML code you want in your ad just as if you were listing on Ebay or useing or writing your webpage even the body back ground tag will work on ebay..

<b>will give you bold</b>
<i>will give you italics</i>
<u>will give you underlined text</u>

Do it in the body of your AW description just like you do <BR> commands for line spacing. It works great.

dadofstickboy-The E/O board uses UBB code and for your auctions you'll need HTML.

As shown above, although the commands are the same, you enclose the commands in <> and not [] .

I sometimes get in a hurry and end up using the brackets and that's exactly what you'll get in your ad...[b] shows up and not the intended bolding! I had to do a lot of editing when I first started trying to "tweek" my plain 'ole auctions.

Thanks! sulyn1950

That's what I was asking when I wondered if everything was the same.

I haven't played with that stuff much.
I at least wanted to start off on the right foot.

Concerning the html in the auctions, I have always wanted to get the body background (all the stuff in the background) to be a different color. How would I do that?
Can I even import a soft patterned background? How do I get it to work in the part that comes up first. (the ebay auction itself that shows the bidder, current price etc.
Anyone know?

You can try some of the suggestions mentioned here http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=460942
