What have you bought on ebay that turned out to be far, far better than described? Some seller mislisted or had no idea what they were selling? Just picked up a rare photography book hidden in an auction titled photo "pamphlets". I was the only bidder at 9.95

Bought the video (OOP) "Redneck" for $5 -- ten days later sold it for $109

Twas a horrible Italian crime flic starring Telly Savalas. The seller forgot to mention that it was also one of the few films that Mark Lester (star of "Oliver!" ever made!

Me did a real big after that sale!!

I once bought an "oriental" plate for $9.99 that turned out to be a 18th Century Buddhist plate worth far more than I paid for it. I turned around and sold it for $300!

I bought an unmarked Steuben perfume (Seller didn't know what he had and described it wrong also) for $22.00 and sold it for $325. That was a long time ago - don't know if that is possible now, but I keep hoping! Research always pays off in the long run!

I bought a child's hat and coat set from a seller with grainy photos and no name brand listed in the title.

I was searching by title and description so that auction came up. I knew what it was immediately and won the auction for $13.50.

My daughter wore the set a few times during the holidays and I sold it this year for $50!

I chuckle at it to this day! I often find things that are photographed very poorly but are easy to recognize if you know what you're looking for!

Ebay is truly like a yard sale or flea market. It is a dealer's (buyer's) paradise. Why drive around on Saturday morning when you can get better deals on fleabay!
