I had a winning bidder on an auction that ended Nov. 21. I immediately emailed her with payment information, request for shipping address, etc. I emailed her a reminder three days after the auction closed. She emailed me yesterday saying she was the winning bidder and why haven't I contacted her yet? Well, I sent ANOTHER WBN (using my AOL account where I can track if the mail has been read or not.). SHE'S BEEN DELETING ALL THE EMAILS FROM ME from day one! (Read the subject line PLEASE, it states the email is regarding your Ebay win).

So. . .I AGAIN email her today, this time using Ebay's payment reminder notice. How in the world does she, or any other bidder, expect to get the payment information from any seller if they delete the emails before reading them. I know there are viruses out there, but this is a bit overboard. Get a virus detection program, will ya! This is the last attempt I am making on contacting someone over an $8 bid. Next, it's a NPBA that's going to be filed. She's not a newbie, either. What gives lately? Has the whole world gone nuts?

Sorry about the venting, but this is getting stupid. Do I need to make a long distance phone call? With the way things are headed, I expect a neg for not communicating with her. LOL

Then they should know better. When you leave the npb that should wake them up.

I think people have already gotten the ebay EOA notice and they think your email is a duplicate. I try to alter the subject line whenever I have a situation like this. Sometimes I add PLEASE REPLY ASAP or SECOND NOTICE. Those get them everytime.

With newbies, even when I'm replying to one of their messages I change the title line a little so they don't think they've already read the message.

I can understand deleting emails which I don't know who they are from. For some reason I get a lot of porno email (I am the only one that uses this compter) so instead of opening it I delete it. Sometimes you can tell by the subject line other times you can't. I take no chances I just delete, if it is personal then they can write again. When I send my WBN my subject line always contains the name eBay # of Auction and Title of auction. Sunday night with all those problems I was receiving PayPal payments before the ebay notices and was that a mess. I try and let my buyer pay immediately by saying in the checkout area. "If you wish to pay instantly with PayPal click the logo at the end of the auction page but please remember to add the postage." I get very good results with that but I always list in my TOS the price of S/H.

I always mention the auction number and item in the subject line! This time I'm adding: DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL. Geesh, I don't know how much clearer I can be on this one. This is the first time I've had this happen. Maybe I should send her a telegram??? All this over $8! Like I don't have enough with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.

I have the same problem only on this one I am the buyer auction ended on the 12th, no contact at all I have tried just like you have, several e-mails, through the ebay system and nothing. Now I don't really care that much about the item, but I got a good price, and I don't want the seller to neg me as I have tried to reach them 4 times.

I have never had this happen, checked feedback in June looks like the same thing happened in the neg feedback they got the response was "in car accident item shipped" etc,,

can I buyer file complaint if I haven't paid yet?

Go to Ebay and pull their contact info. They will get a copy also giving them your contact info. Sit back and wait a day as this usually shakes them up and they will probably call you. If not, call them up on the phone and tell them to pay up or face the consequences. Take the time to enlighten them on the importance of communication if they intend to play the Ebay game.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
