We have an old vase, about 6" high, at LEAST 70 years old (belonged to deceased inlaws). Everyone who visits picks it up right away and looks at the bottom, thinking it's old American pottery.

Bottom says "Italy," then "Vanzo," then "3439."

Evidently Vanzo is/was a town in Italy; and that's all I've learned so far on Google.

Anybody have more information?

Hi roadsmith,

If you do a search for Bassano pottery or ceramics you may find more information as I think that was the region where it was made.

Roadsmith...you might want to take this question to the eBay Glass, Pottery and Porcelain Board. They've helped me on some doozies. Plus they are pretty fast with an answer!

Thanks, both of you. I'll take your advice.

Don't you love selling? And learning something new every day!?
